The Aleethia Foundation

2/12/2019
Aleethia Foundation: Aleethia provides “Friday Night Dinners” which were originally started in October 2003 when the injured began arriving at the military medical centers. These dinners are an integral part of the healing process and also reintroduce the warrior and the family members to life outside the hospital. Aleethia brings the injured service members to a safe and accepting environment and shows them that life is still good, that they do not need to stay in their hospital rooms agonizing over what they have lost or how their lives have changed. Most of the dinners are paid for by contributions from individuals. Some corporations and organizations will sponsor the entire or partial costs of a “Friday Night Dinner.” A dinner can cost from $4,000 to $8,000 per week based upon number of attendees and venue.

Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post – 9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents out of every dollar has gone directly to our program services for Veterans.
