The Southern Oregon Swing Dance Society was formed by Craig Faulkner to help preserve and popularize the original forms of swing dance here in the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. American Rhythm is an in-depth listen and retrospective on American music from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Many of the local dancers like to get together for practice sessions during the time the program is on the air. However, the format is not limited to music for swing dancing. It's an eclectic mix of vintage American music.
