David began his radio career in Seattle after serving as a research analyst for the Evergreen Freedom Foundation, a conservative policy institute (AKA thorn-in-the-side-of-liberals) in Olympia, Washington. He was a columnist for The Olympian. At the age of 19, David ran for the State Senate in the 10th legislative district, which reportedly made him the youngest candidate for the state senate in Washington history.
