The range of music Bob Blackman plays on The Folk Tradition includes traditional folk songs, Celtic tunes, bluegrass, acoustic blues, gospel, Cajun and zydeco, and much more. Co-founder and occasional emcee of the renowned Ten Pound Fiddle coffeehouse, Bob Blackman has written more than 150 articles and reviews for various music magazines, and recently served on the programming committee for the National Folk Festival taking place in East Lansing 1999-2001. His "day job" is running the computer system at Elderly Instruments in Lansing, an internationally known music store and mail-order service.
