Law is War with Mike Arnold
True Crime
Mike Arnold's "Law is War" covers legal issues related to the Malheur protest case and other legal issues. Mike Arnold along with co-counsel Lissa Casey represented Ammon Bundy in the aftermath of the Malheur Refuge protest and the shooting of LaVoy Finicum. Due to their association with the case and outspoken handling of the media aspects of the defense, Mike is often contacted to comment about the Malheur case and other issues of legal importance. Hence this podcast where we hope to explain legal issues to non-lawyers and spark discussion. Mike Arnold is an attorney in Eugene, Oregon. He grew up in the Midwest and moved to Oregon to attend law school. He tells stories for a living, delivering a narrative through facts to juries around the state. He also enjoys telling stories to his daughter, which all seem to end up with someone in the family actually being an alien or a robot. The jury stories, likewise, always seem to end up with someone being not guilty. Mike gained notoriety as an attorney when he stood on the courthouse steps as Ammon Bundy's attorney and told the remaining occupiers of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge to "please stand down." In the aftermath of the standoff he was credited with assisting in negotiating a peaceful resolution for the remaining four protester holdouts. Another of Mike's cases was featured on a CBS "48 Hours" episode entitled "Trail of Tears."
