On this edition we welcome Arturo (@arturo_grooves) Arturo is a multifaceted artist, known equally for his prowess as a DJ, selector, curator, and event organizer. His passion for his craft is palpable in every endeavor he undertakes, driven by a profound love for the art of music. Hailing originally from the Caucasus region, Arturo's lineage is a colorful tapestry of Gypsy, Belarusian, Ukrainian, and Russian heritage. His journey in music began at a tender age when he migrated to Germany as a young child. It was there, amidst the vibrant cultural landscape, that he took his first tentative steps into the world of rhythm and melody, his tiny feet dancing to the beats emanating from the screens of MTV and Viva. While his musical tastes initially spanned a broad spectrum, Arturo's affinity for gritty, pulsating sounds soon emerged. It was during his time at the University of Heidelberg and amidst the electric atmosphere of Saarbrücken's techno scene that he found his true calling in synthetic and psychedelic sounds. Since those formative years, Arturo has been a fixture behind the decks at numerous open-air events, raves, and club gatherings in and around Mannheim and Heidelberg. His involvement in various youthful rave collectives marked the beginning of a journey that would lead him to the forefront of the electronic music scene. A pivotal moment in Arturo's career came with his association with the creative music collective "Slow Bar" and his residency at Frankfurt's esteemed event series, "Kabinett der Kuriositäten." These experiences further honed his skills and expanded his artistic horizons, paving the way for his relocation to Berlin. In Berlin's dynamic musical landscape, Arturo has left an indelible mark, gracing the stages of renowned clubs such as "Klunkerkranich," "Beate Uwe," "Remise," and the legendary "Kater Blau." His sonic palette defies categorization, blending elements of Slowrave, Flowwave, Ketapop, and a myriad of other genres into a seamless tapestry of sound. For Arturo, there are no rules in the realm of music, only boundless creativity and limitless expression. Sneffinsky has been a ride full of surprising, mind expanding moments and beautiful memories over the past years which is in itself a reflection of his bigger journey of life as a whole and continues with an ongoing flow of organic interplay. While having his more solid bases in Cologne and Berlin, Sneffinsky also embodies the free spirit of a migratory bird and can often be found in many other parts of this beautiful world throughout the year following the universal flow that this life has to offer to him. Through his travels and his affinity for other cultures, Sneffinsky has been living in various subcultures over the years and therefore come into contact with many different musical genres. This is reflected in the musical diversity of his DJ sets, which can vary a lot in its roots, its speed and the overall mood. Whether it is a fiery club gig, a vibrant & bouncy festival day rave or a groovy sundowner session on a remote place near the ocean, there is one thing all of his sets have in common: They always come with personal intention & result in a unique and deep journey through sound & mind for the listeners and Saymon himself. On this edition we welcome Esmaeili (@jan_sml) & ZHTA (@zhta) Esmaeili (@jan_sml) and @zhta both come from West Germany, met in Istanbul and are based in Berlin. Ever since, they share a common love for downtempo music and various spheres of slower sounds. This set is a live recording from the solidarity party for beloved Mensch Meier, in an effort to help the club survive a few more months before it sadly closes at the end of the year. Despite this sad background, it was a great pleasure for the couple to enjoy another sunny and sweaty Sunday afternoon in the Meier garden. I am very happy to share with you another recording from our "7 Year Anniversary of Magician On Duty" that was hosted in Berlin at Klunkerkranich this past September! This time around, introducing "Null" (@nullmusik) When Pierre and Hadri first embarked on their musical journey, the equation of 1+1 magically resulted in the harmonious resonance of 2. Armed with a solitary mouse and a lone keyboard, these two friends engaged in sporadic jam sessions within the confines of their Berlin studio. Amidst the hustle of one immersed in work and the other grappling with a diminishing faith in humanity, two distinct paths converged, creating a dual void where something indispensable was amiss. As the world paused, and the relentless ticking of the clock came to a standstill, Null emerged from the stillness. Pooling together their diverse influences, they forged a project that breathed life back into the spirit of freedom. A fusion of their creative energies mirrored a matrimonial union, finding solace and unity in the embodiment of Zero, or as they lovingly named it, Null.
