More information

Dublin-born Steve Conway started his radio career in 1985, on South East Sound, a small rock-music pirate in south London. Two years later he joined Radio Caroline at sea, first as a newsreader, and later presenter, later rising to the positions of Head of News and Programme Controller. In 1991 he was one of the final crew of the Ross Revenge at sea, rescued from the ship after running aground on the Goodwin Sands.
In 1999, Steve rejoined the team to help relaunch Caroline on satellite, later returning to his native Dublin, where he has enjoyed a 10 year stint as a presenter on the alternative rock station Phantom 105.2
In recent years Steve has turned his hand to writing, with a number of stories published in anthologies as well as specialist magazines. Steve's 2009 book, Shiprocked, tells the story of his years at sea with Radio Caroline and is available in the Caroline Webshop.
