At WPVM, radio is an art form; it’s a part of our society; it colors the way we act and the way we treat each other; it’s much bigger than a tool for propaganda or to make a dollar. WPVM is different radio; we believe it is a way to connect community; locally, nationally, and globally. More than a century old, radio is an ever-evolving medium that continues to define itself. The same technology discovered or developed by the early pioneers lime Morse and Tesla, is still being used in our cellphones, personal listening devices such as iPods, GPS navigation, radar weather reports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and internet radio. Radio’s power is the ability to connect on an intimate level; the only medium that can do that.
