Jorinda and Jorindel
Brothers Grimm are esteemed as collectors of fairy tales. "Jorinda and Joringel" is a fairy tale by the brothers Grimm. In an old castle lived a witch who could change herself into a cat or a screech-owl. In the evening she became a human being again. When any one came to the castle he was obliged to stand still, and could not stir from the place until the witch let him or her to be free. If a girl came within this circle, the witch turned her into a bird, and locked her in a cage. She gathered more than seven thousand cages with rare birds in the castle.
