My writing has appeared in The Rumpus, Contagious Magazine and an essay of mine will appear in this fall's "Kweendom" Anthology. My pilot “1993” was a Semi Finalist in the Screencraft competition, and won 1st place in the Fresh Voices ½ hour pilot competition. Leung is currently filming the feature documentary BATTLEGROUND, a collaboration with Director Cynthia Lowen, with whom she has previously worked with on the feature NETIZENS (Tribeca Film Festival 2018). Her first play, The Accident, won Best Drama at the Frigid Festival. She has subsequently written and produced several short plays. Her autobiographical solo show, American Rookie, was performed at the Gotham Storytelling Festival, and received a full production at Luna Stage in January 2020. The entire run was sold out and extended. She also presented her play Islands of Contentment at LAByrinth Theater’s Barn Series in January 2020. She was the playwright-in-residence at Guild Hall in 2019. Dipti received her B.A. from Cornell and M.A. from Cambridge in English literature. Currently, she is developing a new play with Narativ UK, releasing stories inspired by life in quarantine on SoundCloud (which was featured on WNYC), and writing a screenplay for a film set in Mumbai.
