(Memory Gamma is a Star Trek Fan Project satirizing 'True Crime)' After the horrors of Earth's WW3, the human race was forced to confront - for the first time - root causes of its failings. Greed, exploitation, tribalism, apathy and ignorance all lead to the near extinction of a species with the potential for great things. To solve these problems once and for all Human beings had to eliminate poverty, famine, disease and want. Not just for their immediate survival, but for their existential future. To change the human heart they would have to give the entire species an actual chance to change its fate.To quote Fabled Captain James T. Kirk 'man rose above primitiveness by vowing, 'I will not kill, today.'.Still, this is Earth. Not all cultures share human values and not all should be expected to. Many cultures, societies and beings - including some humans - are guilty of committing what are considered crimes around the Galaxy. Some are minor, some are mind boggling in scope, some fall into grey areas, defined by cultural values or politics. Here at The Memory Gamma Library we catalog - for posterity - these crimes and the events surrounding them.
