What is the publishing process for a manuscript?

10/25/2023
Welcome to the very first episode of the RomaReads Publishing Podcast! In this episode, I talk a little about my book, 'Teacher's Pet', and how it planted the idea in my head to start a publishing company. I'll also talk you through what actually happens to a manuscript during the traditional publishing process, with some suggestions for marketing your book for those going down the self-publishing route. I'll discuss some of the struggles I encountered when figuring out how to set up a publishing company, how unsafe the writing and publishing industry is and can be, how gatekept writing and publishing information is, and I'll explain that this is why I started this podcast up. Speaking, supporting, and learning from one another is one of the only ways we will be able to make this industry a safer place. Have you felt like you've been left to struggle in the writing community? Reach out at Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram at RomaReads Publishing and let us know what you think!
