I did not have much to talk about today, so I thought I would share a bit about a recent trip I took to Reno, NV.

What is of the most value to you? Is it a car? pet? motorcycle? property? record collection? boat? etc. Or maybe it is internal. I lost something of value to me today. I forgot to mention to it in this episode, that perhaps karma came back to bite me in the ass. I had sort of gone off on a rant about riff raff in an article today, and although it is good to vent, I think I was dwelling and I brought on negative karma. By my obsessing and writing about riff raff, I believe I brought on riff raff, who walked off with my valuable asset (in my opinion).

Maybe someone out there reading this just had a door closed in their life, whether by someone else, or yourself. At the time, it is not pleasant, you feel angry, rejected, humiliated, incensed. But sometimes, in hindsight, you realize that the door closing was actually a wake up call for you to find new doors.

If you break up the word "manage" into syllables, it looks like this: man-age . Basically implying that a man needs to be man-aged or a woman needs to wom-an-aged. Do people really need this? or are most of these just created jobs in which subordinates are not valued and middle managed drones are flourishing? A candid discussion.

I am grateful for my 19 Subscribers, that I have accrued over the past four years. And to anyone who is listening, subscriber or not, thank you. Sometimes I lose a listener here and there, and I can deal with that too, because I usually gain one back within a few months.

If anyone here has seen "Full Metal Jacket", they will remember the jelly donut scene in which Gunnery Sgt Hartmann tells recruits that they have not given Private Pyle the proper motivation. Eventually, that motivation was a beating that Private Pyle endured. But for most of us, motivation comes from within, we have to be our own coach, our own cheerleader, in pursuing whatever our dreams may b.

It does not make a difference how old a person is, I have learned, that there are arrogant jerks who are young, middle aged, or old. Just as there are down to earth, nice people of all ages.

Many of you may be famliar with the song "Hurt" by the late Johnny Cash. In the song, he sings; "And you can have it all, my empire of dirt" Do you wonder what he means by saying that? is he talking about the mound of dirt at his gravesite? I think many of you know exactly what he means, tune in, so we can discuss, most likely you are on the same page here.

Many of you out there may remember Cassette Tape Recorders, or be familiar with them, as they were very popular, I would say in the 1970's and 1980's. I recently bought a cassette recorder to listen to some old cassette tapes my family had made a good 50 years ago. It was a trip down memory lane, and has inspired me to buy some blank cassettes and get back into making recordings, the old fashioned way. Too much time and attention and obsession with digiital media is leading me back into old analog methods of documenting my life and creating content.

Rhonda Parker Taylor is an American writer, entrepeneur, and academic researcher. She holds a doctorate in business from Phoenix University, as well as an Masters and Bachelors degrees fom Wesleyan Univeristy in Indiana. A native of Noblesville, Indiana, Rhonda's childhood, and a good deal of her adult life have revolved aroud Indiannapolis and surrounding areas. Her most recent book "Crossroads" came out in February. 2023. it was endorsed by Mariel Hemingway, the granddaughter of the late Ernest Hemingway, and a well known actress. The story is about the murder of a 15 year old girl, the trial, and how one woman's life is impacted by being on the jury of the trial.
