Wild Pitch by Jeffrey Grose and Richard Strack
12/1/2025
Wild Pitch is a true story that tears the human condition of a man's life down to the bare bone. Its pages paint a portrait of a childhood shattered to pieces by an alcoholic father that leaves Jeff Grose with an anger that grows into a beast born from his dad's belt. Jeff channels the beast inside him into extraordinary success as a baseball pitcher on high school fields and then inside professional ball parks after he is drafted by the New York Mets at age 16. Life in the minor leagues and a debilitating arm injury send Jeff crashing onto bathroom floors with addictions to drugs and alcohol. Life after baseball leaves him with a drink in one hand and a bag of cocaine in the other, a strong sense of self hatred, suicidal thoughts and no resume for the job market. Finally, during his search for self identity, he learns that salvation has always been much closer to him than the sixty feet, six inches it had taken for his blazing fastball to explode into the heart of a catcher's mitt.

Don't Tell Anyone by Michael F. Luck
10/27/2025
The book is a true story full of twists and turns, but it is not the whole story. It never could be. The “twists” are secrets and the “turns” are fateful choices. The characters struggle with confession, contrition, and forgiveness. They seek happiness, disrupted by unexpected pregnancies, and altered lives. This tale weaves together the secrets of the author, birth parents, adoptive parents, and their families to reveal the delicate and emotional parts of the whole. In this book, the nutshell is cracked, and secrets spill out. Some parts are myth, which serve as lessons; other parts are a quest for identity and treasured memories of heartfelt acceptance. The author found the process of unraveling truth from long-held secrets and uncovering two unknown biological family histories overwhelming. However, the bigger challenge for him was how to integrate “Who you really are,” is never really a secret. Provenance of identity is hard wired.

After his beloved dies, he undergoes a demonic metamorphosis, which causes the world’s fictitious walls to crumble. French Kiss - How the Americans and French Fell In and Out of Love During the Cold War by Steve Bassett
8/27/2025
“French Kiss” evokes a rare look into the most threatening years of the Cold War, a parallel to today's geopolitical climate. Hundreds of interviews with those whose livelihoods depended on work at the massive Dèols-Châteauroux U.S. Air Station provide intimate details on how the Kremlin had targeted France for Soviet domination. Communist provocateurs viciously condemned the American military buildup in France. French Communists spread the Kremlin’s message over the radio, newspapers and magazines and on street corner. Every word of Lenin and Stalin was infallible. Fast forward to today’s worldwide Islamic movement, girded by the Koran’s infallibility and Allah’s sacred words, has for decades used terrorism and war to conquer and convert. Contrast, “French Kiss” a tale of hope. Black airmen were readily accepted, initial suspicion, distrust and even hatred followed a path from forbearance to friendship and even to love and marriage.
