Kristin Rogers Making Canna Beverages That Are Familiar, Healthy and Predictable

Kristin Rogers is the Co-Founder and Brand Manager for LEVIA, a Massachusetts based, cannabis-infused beverage brand. She entered the cannabis world as a licensed substance abuse and mental health therapist. For the first 15 years of her career, Kristin was on the frontlines of the substance abuse epidemic, advocating for substance abuse therapy, and reducing stigma in high-risk populations. LEVIA was founded in 2017 by Kristin and her husband with the goal of producing cannabis products rooted in wellness, offering a replacement for alcohol, and ensuring a long-lasting legacy of fighting to end the stigma that has devastated the lives of so many in our communities. LEVIA went to market in March of 2021 giving Massachusetts consumers a zero calorie, zero sugar, fast onset, effects-based way to enjoy cannabis. Kristin is now the brand manager for LEVIA and is using her steady and clear voice to promote ending the stigma, giving hope to those in need and advocating for much-needed cannabis research. Golden Teacher Tori Moline and Jews in Cannabis Lissa Skitolsky and Yael Marcus

11/23/2023
This is an international podcast as Joyce speaks with both Tori Moline, a 26 year old Canadian mom with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, and Lissa Skitolsky and Yael Marcus who discuss Jewish cannabis advocacy and why the cannabis community needs to care about what’s going on in Israel for both its national medical program model and the science originating in Israel. Tori Moline discovered she has a genetic pregnancy condition, called Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), in 2021. The severe nausea and vomiting were not relieved by the multiple pharmaceuticals prescribed to her, but she found relief with cannabis. Tori discovered that cannabis improved her quality of life by increasing her appetite and decreasing her vomiting – but she kept this knowledge from her doctor and family out of fear and stigma. As a former history teacher, she took it upon herself to learn the history of cannabis and came to understand that the plant was not the devil but rather a miracle for medicinal use. Tori was inspired to help others, so she built her @GoldenTeacherTori platforms around educating moms about HG & Plant Medicine. Tori has founded a community of mom's working towards changing HG care and normalizing cannabis use during an HG pregnancy. She believes all HG moms should have access to cannabis and believes plant medicine is the future of HG care. Dr. Lissa Skitolsky speaks with Joyce from her home in Canada and is an internationally renowned author and the Editor-in-Chief of Cannabis Jew Magazine. Yael Marcus is an experienced brand and business development professional who four years ago relocated to Israel to fulfill her dream to be part of the global medical cannabis/wellness industry. She lived in Kibbutz Nir Oz with her partner until her community was brutally attacked by Hamas terrorists on October 7. The discussion of her experience and why the cannabis community needs to support Israel is powerful and inspiring. Courageous Conversations with Mskindness and Kelley

11/9/2023
Joyce speaks with two inspiring women working in cannabis who are using their powers to create a narrative around healing, hope and love. Kelley Usborne Bruce is “The Cannamommy” and is one of the very first canna mom advocates Joyce met way back in 2018. Kelley is a legend and a fighter and a true canna trailblazer who is using her voice to reshape the landscape of childbirth, cannabis and equity in healthcare. Mskindness B. Ramirez is an advocate, author, educator and all-around super star in the cannabis industry. Her own story is one of healing and passion to create a space for us to understand plant medicine in her role as a certified holistic wealth coach mompreneaur! These ladies are joining forces and hitting the road with their newest venture – Feminine Forward Talks - a transformative mobile speaker series at the forefront of alternative health, plant medicine, lifestyle choices, and the evolution of wellness. Joyce will be joining them in Vegas. Culture Corner: The Gun Machine Podcast When you listen to this podcast you will understand how America was forged by the gun industry. This podcast is connecting American history, government involvement and the culture of the NRA to create a roadmap to show how we got here - and maybe with this knowledge we can unravel the myths and regain control over guns. We have given control to the NRA and the politicians who are beholden to them. The most recent episode is focused on the NRA, and it’s a reminder of how a true believer can shape the narrative to create their vision of reality. The men who transformed the NRA in the 1980s from a group focused on sportsmanship and gun safety had a vision to make it all about distorting the 2nd amendment, and this has now become our national nightmare. We now live in a country with evangelized true believers who have organized their lives around a lethal weapon.
