We talk to Evangeline Jean, a single mother raising a six-year-old kindergartner during the time of COVID-19. Along the way we discuss music, movies, the new reality, the path that may lie ahead, relocating, mindfulness, and all sorts of other uncertainties.

We interview Steve Howell, an accomplished blues guitarist, vocalist, and historian of the blues, about his journey through the world of blues music. Along the way, we talk about what defines the blues and the way the blues reach out and touch us on a universal, fundamental human level. We're all always dealing with something, and as long as that is how life goes, we'll always find a home listening to timeless blues songs. We also compare the writing of Hemingway, Faulkner, Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, Jim Thompson, and James Crumley as they capture the common human struggle the blues epitomize. And, if that isn't enough, we talk about two remarkable songs, "You Don't Know Me" and "Me and Bobbie McGee" and how they in different ways are quintessential blues material.

Grady Jane is a millennial with a degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University in Orlando. Florida. She and some of her Full Sail comrades have journeyed to Seattle to try to break into the video game writing business. Her interview provides insight into the world of creative writing, life in the gig economy, and the ups and downs of working a day job while trying to keep the creative juices flowing.

A story of love, war, teaching school, Vietnam, and East Texas. We meet Cindy and Leonard Reese who live in Tatum, Texas, and we learn how they have made love work for forty-five years, from their first meeting at Stephen F. Austin State University, through their years teaching high school kids, how they have dealt with Leonard's PTSD from his combat experience as a Marine rifleman in Vietnam. We also learn about Leonard's career as an independent author as he brought his Vietnam memoir , The Nam Within, to life.
