In today's episode of Marketing Unfiltered, Judy Shalom and KJ Rocker sat down with Elena Ruiz Arenas to discuss how web3 is going to revolutionise marketing as we know it. Elena gave her insights into what we can expect from the Web3 revolution and how NFTs' are going to play a big role in it all. A New Dimension of Education in the Metaverse with Melissa McBride

9/28/2022
Education has been a debate topic for as long as there have been children in school. Some believe that our current education system is fine just the way it is, while others argue that it needs to be reformed. However, there is one area where everyone seems to agree: the current system is not preparing students for the future. With the rapid advancement of technology, the world is changing faster than ever before. In order to keep up, our education system must change as well. This is where metaverse education comes in. Metaverse education is an immersive educational experience that takes place in a virtual world. This allows students to learn in a more hands-on way, and it also gives them the opportunity to explore different careers and meet new people from all over the world. Thanks to businesses like Sophia Technologies Ltd, we are one step closer to making metaverse education a reality. In today's episode, KJ Rocker and Judy Shalom are joined by Melissa McBride, CEO of Sophia Technologies Ltd, to discuss the current state of education. They explore how the education system has remained largely unchanged for the past 200 years, and discuss how the introduction of metaverse technologies could revolutionize the way we learn. They also touch on why Dubai is at the forefront of this technology, and how it is leading the way in terms of innovation and design. This is a fascinating discussion that provides insights into the future of education where Judy, KJ, and Melissa also discuss some of the challenges that need to be addressed in order to make the metaverse a mainstream reality. The Merge - The world's second biggest cryptocurrency is now greener

9/20/2022
The Ethereum Merge is a historic moment for this space and one that is hugely significant. But in simple terms what actually it is and how will it affect the average user? Join us in yet another smashing episode, where KJ and Judy are discussing it all. As any crypto enthusiast knows, the merge is a much-anticipated event in the world of cryptocurrency. Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency, switched last week from its current proof-of-work consensus to a proof-of-stake. This change has the potential to impact the entire crypto ecosystem, and many are eager to see how it unfolds over time. There are of course a few key reasons why Ethereum decided to go ahead with the merge. First, proof-of-work is an energy-intensive process that requires expensive mining rigs. Switching to proof-of-stake will greatly reduce the amount of energy needed to run the network. Second, proof-of-stake is considered to be a more secure consensus algorithm than proof-of-work. Finally, the merge will also allow Ethereum to scale more easily than if it remained on its current consensus algorithm. This and so much more you will be able to hear in today's episode of Marketing Unfiltered, so tune in NOW. As always nothing in this episode is financial or investment advice but for informational purposes only. Inflation Disinflation & How They Affect Marketing

7/19/2022
The inflation fire was still raging in the early summer of 2022, but it wouldn't be long before signs of disinflationary forces were on the way in parts of the economy, and it wasn't just the infamous "demand destruction" that could result from the value of consumer wallets being eroded. Shortly after some of the major department store chains began to reap the benefits of easing restrictions and normalizing customer inflows, a retail trade crisis erupted, characterized by a plentiful oversupply and swelling inventories. While the focus was on the super-rises in food and fuel prices, retailers were preparing to open the gates to shock sales to empty their expensive warehouses, which in some cases made it difficult for stores and e-retailers to order new goods and keep pace with consumer demand. Was it the start of a recovery in an already chaotic economy? How big is the problem? And what are the consequences that had already caused several of the largest retailers in the United States to crash land? This is the fourth episode of marketing unfiltered, a podcast about what's going on around us, how the marketing industry is reacting to it, and where we see it all going - this and much more will be discussed today with your host Judy Shalom and KJ Rocker.
