The Finale - An Intimate Interview with Katie Krimitsos

12/2/2019
Well, my dear...here we are. At the end. Today’s episode is the last of the Biz Women Rock podcast. To celebrate, Chris (my hubs) is interviewing me. I want to leave you with this… Everything I created for you all these years has been because I have needed it. The inspiration, the motivation, the organization, the leadership, the cheerleading, the support...I have needed it all. And I knew that by creating it for you, I would be forced to step into it for myself. In order to serve you, in order to have a prosperous business, I have had to face limiting beliefs, money blocks, foundational issues of worthiness and not-enoughness and so much more internal shit. And of course, I’ve had to learn better ways of doing business...better strategies, better organization, better marketing, better leadership. I am just like you. A woman doing her best to create her own abundant, meaningful journey. It’s messy, imperfect and painful. And magical and deeply fulfilling and worth every single second. Thank you for being here with me. Thank you for trusting me with your time and energy. I hope we continue to connect on the Women’s Meditation Network podcast...I would be honored to be in your ears through your meditation journey. Just search for it in the podcast player you’re listening to now. Just know that my intention there is just as powerful as it has been here: to help you see your own inner light...and shine it as bright as you possibly can.

11/22/2019
In October 2019, I was invited to be the Keynote Presenter at the very first ever She Podcasts Live Conference. Going Through a Business Transition with Jen Mavros - PODCASTING SERIES

11/21/2019
When I saw Jen Mavros’ video announcing she was leaving her old business behind and stepping into a new business, I obviously could relate. Jen has been helping entrepreneurs manifest soulfully aligned desires and dreams in life and business for 7 years now as a coach and mentor, speaker and leader. But a few years ago...she began questioning, feeling and ultimately...listening. Which has led her to an entirely new business, the first iteration of which is called Loving Business Forward. But one thing really struck me in her announcement was that she said that her podcast, The Jen Mavros Show is the one thing that’s coming with her in the transition. So, I brought Jen on for the Podcasting Series and you’ll get to hear her answer to why her podcast is the only thing coming with her. We’ll also dive into why she’s going through a transition in business and how scary and exciting that’s been for her. We discuss… Why she “unbranded” herself as a coachHow she used - and continues to use - meditation as her biggest tool to get in touch with what’s right for her. What “surrendered flow” means to her and her opinion of “hustle.”What the realities of her money have actually looked like during this transitionThe breakdown of her next evolution of business (it’s beautiful!) Jen is phenomenal and if you resonate with her message about doing business in a way that is aligned with who you are and doing it differently than what you typically see out there, then I would encourage you to go find out more about her and everything she’s doing here: Jen’s website - https://www.jenmavros.com/ Loving Business Forward - https://www.lovingbusinessforward.com/ *** Are you a podcaster? From One on One Clients to Online Products That Serve the World with Nicole Cruz

11/11/2019
When Nicole Cruz came to me, it became apparent that she wanted to build a business so she could put herself out of business. Let me explain. Nicole is a registered dietician and for 10 years, she’s been seeing clients one on one - mostly young girls and teenagers who have eating disorders or disordered eating and who want to heal their relationship with body and food. As a mom of three littles and fueled by her desire to help prevent more kids from having such challenges, she started Joyful Eating for Your Family, a brand whose mission it is to help parents teach their kids how to have a healthy relationship with food. When we began working together, she had just started the private Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/joyfuleatingforyourfamily/) and had an Instagram account. Fast forward, Nicole has solidified her message and stepped into her passionate voice to help families. Her Facebook Group has over 2,000 members, her Instagram account is followed by over 8,100 people and over 1,200 people have subscribed to her email list. She’ll release her first book in early 2020, is creating paid-for online workshops/webinars and has plans to build out a signature course...all that will help her serve her community. During our conversation, Nicole shares… How she’s been able to step into a message that is controversial (at least seen as “going against the grain”) and how she’s dealt with it.What the process of productizing her knowledge through guides, books and webinars has been like. The process her book has gone through...from originally being the first paid product she would offer to it being her sugar manifesto that is branding her as the expert! What negative self-beliefs have come up for her along the way and the mindset shifts she’s had to have in order to keep going. How to Grow an Online Business From Scratch with Ashley Kitchens

11/11/2019
When Ashley Kitchens began working with me as a private client, she only knew one thing: she loved sharing with people about plant-based eating and wanted to reach more people. She didn’t know what that would look like as a business, but she did have about 5,000 people following her on Instagram. Over the year, Ashley has bravely taken baby (and sometimes GIANT) steps into her greatness! And during this conversation, she shares about the evolution of her online business model from zero to now! She currently has 13 private clients, an email list of 1000 who have downloaded her free 1 week meal plan, 200 people who have purchased her 1 month meal plan and currently has 13,000 followers on Instagram. She’s speaking at some big conferences in her industry and will be rolling out her signature program in early 2020. She is totally on fire! During our interview, Ashley shares… What it was like offering her first paid product! How she completely changed plans after her first paid product was out, choosing to take on private clients instead of building out more products. What it’s been like building a client baseWhy she started a Facebook Group and how she uses it differently than InstagramWhy her “failure” launching her first course is actually a massive success! What she’s done to grow her Instagram following from 5,000 to 13,000 this past yearHow she’s evolved emotionally, spiritually and professionally this past year! I am ridiculously proud of Ashley and in her story, I hope you hear a little bit of yourself...and my ultimate belief that you can literally do anything you put your mind to...as long as you’re willing to take imperfect action and stay tuned into what you love.

1 Million Downloads in 1 Year... Thinking Outside the Box with Melissa Monte

9/23/2019
Within the first year of launching her podcast, Mind Love, Melissa Monte had 1 million downloads. This is not the norm...and neither is she. Which I am convinced is exactly why she has had such success. During our conversation, Melissa walks us through how she started, launched and grew her podcast by thinking outside the box. First, she got clear about who she was, her passions and her gifts...a step that we can easily skip over because it requires us to STOP and do the internal work. Once she did, she went through Pat Flynn’s podcasting course, which gave her the practical steps on how to launch a podcast. But Melissa’s differentiated herself by practicing creative thinking. She bounced her ideas off of others, she created content that was a little different than what was out there, she gave herself a launch date and made an event out of it, which gave her accountability to take action. And she tried many things along the way that gave her visibility, always looking at her metrix so she was strategic about her next moves. There is SO much value in this episode and I can’t wait for you to listen! You can find out more about Melissa and sign up for her daily email, the Morning Mind Love here: https://www.mindlove.com/

The Simplest Way to Scale Your Online Business with Louisa Zhou

Louisa Zhou is one of the best teachers of online business I’ve ever come across. And you’ll hear it during our conversation because she breaks down a few super simple steps explaining how you can grow your online business. “It’s not easy,” she says, “but it doesn’t have to be complicated.” Louisa knows because she’s built a multiple 7 figure business following these steps. She started out as an executive in a corporate job, doing digital marketing for her company. Soon, she transitioned into her own business, offering those same services she was doing during her day job. Who Do You Need to Be In Order to Grow Your Business with Pooja Khanna

9/2/2019
You know what it feels like to work yourself to the bone...and get up to do it all over again, right? Well, Pooja Khanna did that for too long when in her career as an executive with American Express, Pepsi and Microsoft and developed adrenal fatigue. After years of trying to heal through western medicine, she finally turned to holistic medicine to heal herself, using methods like Reiki, Acupuncture and Meditation. It worked. And during that journey, she saw how difficult it was for her to find quality practitioners and resources. So, she decided to create a solution. BeginToHeal.com is a platform that allows you, the person who is seeking out holistic practitioners and resources, to easily find ones that Pooja and her team have vetted. Their website offers a free subscription and a low cost paid subscription ($10/mo) that give you access to resources like nutrition counselors, reiki practitioners, guided meditations, educational courses and so much more so you can heal from the inside out. During our conversation, Pooja shares about… Her unique challenges in building her business...the extra attention and time she needed to spend figuring out the legal and logistical challenges of her market. What she does to keep her own self-care practice sacred so she doesn’t get back into a space of being burnt out and exhausted. Her ultimate belief that we all really want to do special things to help others and how she’s doing this through Begin to Heal. “That’s the question entrepreneurs should be asking themselves…’who do I need to be in order for me to be successful?’” Pooja says. This game of business is done from the inside out...and this conversation with Pooja has so many moments of wisdom that reflect that. Your Business and Your Marriage: How to Make them Both Thrive with Amber Hawley

8/26/2019
Amber Hawley is a licensed couples therapist who has run her group practice Fremont Counseling Services for years now. She also has an online company called Couples Fix, where she supports ambitious couples who want to thrive in their relationships and their work. I’m bringing Amber on because she is someone I consider the leading authority on how to manage the ever-evolving and ever-challenging place where business and romantic relationships live. And it’s not a conversation we talk about very much...how our relationship with our spouse affects our business...and how our business affects our relationship with our spouse. “Because we need money to live,” Amber states, “we see work as a necessity and our relationships as a luxury.” And that can lead to many problems. So, today, Amber and I are discussing… What the #1 problem is that women entrepreneurs face with their spouseThe unique experiences that you may experience if you are the entrepreneur and your spouse is not.The very different things you might experience if both you and your spouse are entrepreneursHow creating a MONTHLY MONEY MEETING can be instrumental in giving clarity and support to one another and what exactly should be talked about during those meetings. Common issues entrepreneurs may face with their spouses, including varying levels of risk tolerance, money management and time management and how to face each of them proactively. Ultimately, Amber shares the foundational concept that showing up and communicating with one another about our desires, needs, expectations and dreams is ultimately the most powerful way to ensure we thrive in both our relationships and our businesses! Amber is a wealth of information! If you want to find out more about her and how she might be able to help you in your relationship, check her out here: http://amberhawley.com
