A graduate of BCIT’s Broadcast Journalism program, Lynda Steele was most recently the host of Steele On Your Side on CTV and previously worked at CKVU-TV, CITV-TV Edmonton, CBC Edmonton and Global Edmonton. Lynda has been repeatedly honoured and recognized for her work including receiving the Canadian Professional Television Associations’ (CANPRO) Gold Award for Best Feature Reporting in Canada, the Western Association of Broadcasters for Broadcaster of the Year in 2008 and the Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) Outstanding Community Service Award in 2007 for her community involvement and extraordinary leadership. The Lynda Steele Show airs weekday afternoons from 2 PM to 6 PM.

BC Supreme Court has ruled marijuana dispensaries operating without a licence in Vancouver have to close up shop until further notice. The decision handed down this morning applies to all the dispensaries named in a suit that had been launched by the City of Vancouver. A total of 53 injunctions were filed against businesses the city said were operating in violation of the rules. Only 28 stores participated in the legal test case after some closed down.

It was 1970, when Adrian Pearce was a 17-year-old Grade 12 student at George S. Henry Secondary School in the Toronto suburb of Don Mills --- the magical time, punctuated by his first loves, girlfriend Vicky Allen. Unfortunately for Young Adrian, Vicky broke up with him that christmas of 1970 .. and during the breakup, she gave Pearce a present.
