An Encouraging Conversation about Racial Reconciliation and the Church

2/8/2023
The All For The One Podcast is presented by First Christian Church in Canton, Ohio! In this month's episode, we change things up a bit by introducing a conversation that Pastor Jimmy had with two good friends who are also part of the First Christian Church Family. Clarence Hogan and Maiharriese Wooden are members of the FCC staff team who also happen to be people-of-color. In this episode, we get to listen in on a conversation about the role and responsibility of the church in the area of racial reconciliation. As a church that believes Jesus is for all people, part of our calling is to strive to be a place where people from all backgrounds are not only welcomed, but are seen, heard, valued, and loved. As we continue to become that kind of movement of people, our community will see the love of Jesus in us and we will have opportunities to point people to Him. If you desire to see the church be a force for good, for peace, and for unity in the world, this month's episode will encourage you, provoke thought, and ultimately inspire you to action. Roundtable Discussion on Racism, Justice, and the Church

6/9/2020
In this special episode of the Jesus for All People podcast, FCC's Lead Pastor, Ryan Rasmussen, sits down with Pastor Walter Moss and Christopher Lynch for a roundtable discussion on racism, injustice, and how followers of Jesus can and should respond to current events with love, understanding, and empathy. Our vision is to be a church where Jesus is for all people. For us, this conversation is a challenge to be a community that reflects the call in Micah 6:8, to “do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.” We hope this conversation challenges you to pause and consider how you can love your community better than ever before and be a part of healing and positive change. Reopening FCC: A Special Announcement from Pastor Ryan

5/24/2020

As comforting as it is to know that spiritual life at FCC continues even when our physical building is closed, you may be asking, “When will our doors open back up?” With that in mind, we want to share some information about our answer to that question! This special episode of the "Jesus for All People" podcast is a message from Pastor Ryan explaining the vision and heart behind our reopening plan. Give it a listen and then go check out all the details. We can't wait to see you again soon, FCC! In the meantime, don't miss our weekend livestreams and remember, you can always find ways to connect (even digitally) at The Hub.
