With his trusty H6 and SM58, Bill makes his first "dark run" through his early-morning commute across the swampy wastes of Polk County, musing on the history of his neighborhood and the nature of comedy.
Bill's opening salvo begins with Bill's afternoon drive home. It's his first podcast using a Zoom H6 and a Shure SM58 microphone to get decent sound in a noisy environment. The first two tries failed because the batteries - a Dollar Tree bargain - kept dying. Bill gets caught in a rare Polk County traffic jam, talks about life among the swamp people and describes the quaint shit holes of metropolitan Polk County.
