Episode 127 - Cain Wasn't Able

We stay up late to cover the full weekend of mixed martial arts from back-to-back Bellator events to the UFC's debut on ESPN. The Bellator events fell flat in many ways but the UFC delivered in Phoenix. Heavyweights Cain Velasquez and Francis Ngannou met in a short contest that resembled the UFC's first fight on big Fox in 2011. The rest of the card was a fireworks display of great matchups that represented the company well on its biggest platform to date.


Episode 126 - The Silva Lining

Another week, another round of drinks and another great night of MMA as we break down UFC 234 which was unexpectedly headlined by Anderson "The Spider" Silva and kickboxing sensation Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya. The card delivered a lot of great action despite losing the main event title fight between Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum just hours before the card started due to an unfortunate injury. Episode 125 - Aldo My Best

We're back to breakdown another exciting UFC event - Fight Night 144 from Fuertaleza, Brazil. A big night for Marlon Moraes, who almost didn't make it to the main event, submitting former champion Raphael Assuncao who had a win over him. That was just one of four submissions by Brazilian fighters on the card. We also saw Jose Aldo prove that he can still hang with the best and he's still a very dangerous striker in the featherweight division of which he was king for a majority of his career....

In a week off from UFC action, we take a dive into Bellator 214 where Ryan Bader was crowned the first every double champ in Bellator history with a 35 second knockout of MMA legend Fedor. Some local MMA talk, whiskey news and we keep it short this week. Cheers!
