The Waterfront Station holds a few lingering spirits, some ghosts who are waiting to catch that train they missed... or maybe waiting for that special someone to come back to them, as it was opened around wartime. Although new technologies have been invented and brought into the new and improved rail stop, Whispers of the past can sometimes still be seen at the Intermodal Transport Station. Turn down those lights, but keep the volume on high. You didn't miss out on those Whispers, they're just late in uploading because Amy never knows what day of the week it is. Join the Whispers as they explore Caledonia Mills in Antigonish Nova Scotia- a tale frighteningly similar to the stories heard in the close-by Amherst, NS story. Is the 16 year old haunted by a ghost that starts fires or the cause of the issues herself? 4/12/2020
Turn down those lights, but keep the volume on high. You wouldn't want to miss out on those whispers. This week, Nate and Amy recount the phenomenon of the St. Louis Ghost light of St. Louis, Saskatchewan. A repeating phantom light, usually classified as a Will o' the Wisp that was known to occur almost a century ago and has been passed down through generations in St. Louis, it still carries the mystery that it did in the past. Also, they return to stories including the good ol' Grand Funk Railway, who seemed to have their fingers in loads of pies across Canada in the early 1900s. 2/9/2020
Well, life has done it. The Whispers have been separated by work keeping us from recording together. But that doesn't keep us from releasing something... so here's kind of a very short episode to whet your whistle for February 15th's episode. This minisode, Amy Whisper takes you on a hike through Trowbridge Falls Park in Thunder Bay, Ontario- where you really, really shouldn't hang out and make out in the parking lot. Just saying. It's a quick one but a good one. And if you know more about the white lady story at the park, let me know! 1/12/2020
Welcome to the Nor'Western Whispers (unless it's the morning like it was when we recorded... then it's Nor'Whispers). Today we travel to the far Eastern Coast where Nova Scotia hides an amazing tiny-town tourist area nearby Halifax- a place called Peggy's Cove. Quiet, idyllic, beautiful, and also haunted with a heart-wrenching story of a woman in blue, who lost everything one day on the slippery rocks of Granite that create the coastal edge. She now comes back and is often sighted around the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, sometimes even moving things or talking to visitors.

S1 Ep13. Edmonton Hauntings Pt. 2

12/31/2019
In this episode, the Whispers finish off their trip to Edmonton, Alberta with a few places: The McKay School, the (now closed) La Boheme Bed and Breakfast, the Hotel McDonald, and the Strathcona Museum and Archives. It turns out ghosts are pretty widely existing in Edmonton, as there are a tonne of historical houses there. Join the Whispers as they peruse some of the stories of murder, death, and animals haunting the 8th floor of a hotel?? S1 Ep 12. The Peterborough Liftlocks.

12/15/2019
On this chilly day in December, Nate and Amy Whisper explore the Peterborough Liftlocks (in Peterborough, Ontario) where at least 3 but possibly 7 ghosts (or more) roam the grounds and a witch is said to have cursed the land leading to a few accidents and suicides over the years. By day, it's a beautiful and historical site that still functions for its original usage of moving water traveling technology from a lower body of water to a higher body of water... even though it was designed and built at the turn of the 1900s and uses no electricity to do so. By night, footsteps, apparitions, and flying tools are quite evident, and people who died long ago are still seen wandering the grounds at and surrounding the Peterborough Liftlocks. Also, friendly PSA: beware the stinging nettle around the Armour Hill area. The witch might be known to attack but at least she goes away shortly enough. 12/2/2019
Turn down those lights, turn up the volume: the Whispers are back! In this episode, we recount stories from Edmonton, Alberta: where there are a surprising number of popular haunting spots. Join Nate (who's mildly sick and sounds it!) and Amy Whisper as they take you to three haunted places: The Walterdale Theatre (a retired firehall), The Charles Camsell Hospital (an old and derelict tuberculosis hospital), and The Princess Theatre (a movie theatre with residential suites and office spaces above). Each one of these places has stories of ghosts that walk the halls: some are malicious, and some are simply there to stay. Have any good ghost stories? We're dying to hear about them. Let us know! S1 Ep 10. Nahanni National Park

11/17/2019
It's time to put on your winter gear for the 10th episode which is taking place in the chilly, very Nor'Western Whispers of the actual far Canadian North: Nate and Amy are exploring the Nahanni National Park in the Northwest Territories. The spirits, demons, UFOs, missing people, headless people, disappearing populations of possibly cannibalistic and definitely dangerous peoples all coincide with an area known for lost mines of the Yukon Gold Rush, a so-called "Garden of Eden", and all written about by a guy named Hammerson Peters in his book, "Legends of the Nahanni Valley". Amy just covers some of the stories he covers as most of the internet's resources all refer back to him. If you want to get a hold of the Whispers, you can through the following means: Facebook: Nor'Western Whispers instagram: @norwesternwhispers twitter: @whisperspod or send us an email: norwesternwhispers@gmail.com Have any good ghost stories?
