S01E40 The spy safely returned to Radagast, much to the ire of Dagmar of Tyrant's Hill, held by Mogdred. Their loyalties may possibly be tending to the Shadow but that is not certain and will require further investigation in the future. But for now, the fellowship have been invited to attend the Folkmoot at Rhosgobel, arranged by a chieftain hoping to gain acceptance by the Woodmen. Most the Woodmen leaders are present, all with an agenda, with some hoping to push that during the meeting. S01E39 On the trip back to Rhosgobel, to attend the meeting of local leaders at the Folkmoot, the fellowship dealt with a quartet of hobgoblins who had been camping at some old ruins tainted by evil. They also discovered some fine game and some rare herbs just outside the borders of Radagast's domain. Now at Rhosgobel with time to kill, the companions have decided to help out with some of the duties requested by the Brown Wizard. S01E38 The spider threat removed and the dark underground waters keeping the Goblins at bay, Mountain Hall is safe for now. After resupplying, the fellowship have headed south-east wards, bound for Rhosgobel once again. This time to attend a Folkmoot where the movers and shakers of the Woodmen should be in attendance. After a few uneventful days, the party were investigating some ruins for a likely campsite but it was already occupied by goblin kind, probably Orcs. We join the group as Sigmarr has just asked his comrades if the occupants should be left alone or dealt with.. S01E37 Crossing the bridge in the Dwarven mines below Mountain Hall, the fellowship found dark water filled tunnels. Exploring one led to an ambush by yet more spiders. The skirmish was fierce with Hathus's healing and Sigmarr's withering fire employed to full effect. The spiders fled back to their nest but have left Arahad and Monin immobilised with poison. S01E34 The tapping of goblins working the rock deep beneath them has prompted the fellowship to explore the mines of Mountain Hall to ascertain the level of threat they pose. The underground foray was uneventful until two old rock plugs were discovered, the level of workmanship only possible by dwarven hands. The larger one has been breached and we join the group as they crawl their way through into a part of the mine not explored for thousands of years. S01E39 Giving up the hunt for Sylke the rogue-less and mage-less companions have continued to look for the final artefact, the other portal rod, in the nearest unexplored major structure. This turned out to be an arena, surrounded by the serpent infested waters of the bay. It appeared largely empty. While investigating one of two rooms off the arena floor, the party were attacked by chained invisible entities that stole Cran's sacred crowbar, Betty and used it to free themselves from their bonds. S01E33 On returning to Mountain Hall with news of the evil fortress, The Dwimmerhorn, the companions were accused of ill deeds by Hartfast. The reason for his change of attitude was the presence of their old enemy, Magric. The fellowship argued their case well so Magric, knowing the tide was turning, stabbed Hartfast and fled, only to be cut down by arrows as he floundered in the icy mountain river. The party went to sleep in their rented house, relieved to have a warm bed again. Alas, the rest was short lived as they were assaulted by orcs in the night, the foul band led by the huge orc warrior last seen in the temple at the Dwimmerhorn. The evil creatures were all slain, Hathus again raining down killing blows, but Arahad was knocked senseless in the melee. We join the party after a fellowship phase after 3 or 4 months have passed. Arahad, quickly healed by Hathus after the fight, stayed with the fellowship to travel with them to Rhosgobel. All, except Hathus, spent time cleansing themselves of some shadow points with the scholar instead performing research on the chain, the dark spirit and The Dwimmer horn. Radagast was able to impart some knowledge on all three. The fellowship phase has now finished and the companions are on their way back to Mountain Hall to investigate the mines where Goblins have been heard... S01E38 The demon possessed Sylke is being hunted by the party. Fighting their way through more child-like demons and their taller whip wielding wranglers, they tracked her to a ruined tower with the help of the blue sprite, one of Mab's servants maybe. Ugnan used a herb to speed himself up to Sylke's location but was unable to hold her with a spell, taking a shock bolt from her for his troubles. Injured, the healer was forced to only watch as Victoria charged off into the dark mists after the fleeing but also bleeding elf. S01E37 Sylke lost her fight with a shadowy entity which now possesses her. Despite the companions' best efforts, the new owner was able to use the magician's considerable arcane talents to evade capture, running off into the murk of the demon city of Tarek Nev. The hunt for the last artefact must be suspended while she is chased down and somehow restrained. S01E31 With Byrgol's help the imposing Dwimmerhorn was found. Much more than a tower it was a collection of several stone buildings atop a steep hill. Clambering up an old goat track, Sigmarr was able to make some initial observations and report back. This threat was too much for Amalfrida who left during the night to warn and help defend her people. Fortunately, a Dunadan ranger called Arahad was also in the area and pledged to help the companions explore the orc filled complex. Following the same path the next morning, the whole group got as far as the walls which everyone except Monin climbed over. Scouting the various buildings all went well until Sigmarr looked inside the temple. Making plans within were a large orc, human and, lying on the floor between them, an ancient withered black robed corpse, with pale skin drawn tight over bones, its unmoving head featureless but for a gleam in its eye-sockets. Also in the temple, was a Coffin-sized casket reinforced with iron bands, displaying an oversized length of chain, each black metal link the size of a human head. The luminescence seems to radiate from the chain itself and most likely the source of the green glow observed on previous nights. A sixth sense Sigmarr didn't know he possessed saves him from detection as he ducks out of sight as the spirit-eyes turn to the upper window, and he and Arahad retreat behind the keep walls. Seconds later, as they are whispering their plans to escape the Dwimmerhorn, a shadowy figure that Hathus recognises as the spirit Irimë spent a long night battling last year slithers around the corner of the keep towards them. The spirit hisses a word in the Black Speech of Mordor, then vanishes. A moment later, the Orc-horns blow... S01E36 Cherry and Numal will take time to recover their wits before venturing out into Tarek Nev again. Fortunately two survivors from a downed skyship have decided to join the group of adventurers. Time will tell if the Laan archer Acor and Snarkel, a Nomari warrior, are adequate replacements. Continuing their search for the final artefact, the other portal rod, the party came upon a stone area inlaid with geometric patterns. In its centre were two fallen figures, one a winged Amarishi. Sylke rushed in to investigate a crown which brought a half spherical barrier down over her. We pick up just after a tall thin demon has risen out of the Amarishi corpse, seeming to recognise the now trapped elf, and has stepped towards her.
