Erin Simpkins is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the top of her game. She is one of Philly's finest. The alluring black physician can crack open a chest, remap the blood vessels of a heart and save a human life; but on the other side of those operating room doors, her world is slowly falling apart. Iliana Martinez is a beautiful Latina with surgical skills and a brilliant mind. The pulmonary surgeon from Mexico is no joke— after being forced to attend medical school for a second time in her career, the dark-haired immigrant is finally on the road to a serious comeback.
