Traipsin' Global on Wheels Podcast Hour
Health & Wellness Podcasts
Around one billion people in the world have some kind of disability. This podcast provides a platform where we can hear stories from amazing disability advocacy champions both with and without disabilities. There are two separate sub-series embedded in the Traipsin' Global On Wheels Podcast -- the general disability advocacy focused series and a separate series focusing on how climate change affects people with disabilities. The two sub-series are described in detail below. The TGOW Disability Advocacy Podcast is a series brought to you by Traipsin’ Global on Wheels. It is dedicated to highlighting the impressive people involved with disability rights advocacy today. Guests range from Paralympians to senators to Guinness World Record holders. Every guest offers a unique, entertaining, and invaluable look into the modern disability community. The aim is to spread inspiring stories and messages, and thus, hopefully provide the impetus for others to take action themselves. Change does not happen without first better understanding the myriad of existing problems. It also requires a collaborative effort where ideas are exchanged, and stories are shared. The TGOW Podcast Hour aims to satisfy those two requirements by offering a platform to those who are working towards a more inclusive, fair, and equal world. Get involved in the movement today by pressing play! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Environmental Issues through a Disability Lens is also brought to you by Traipsin’ Global on Wheels. It focuses in depth on climate change and its coexisting relationship with disability. Join us as a variety of climate activists, politicians, and scientists weigh in on the progress of climate change activism and how we can and should move forward in combatting this constant threat. The disability community is more likely to be affected by the repercussions of climate change than many other demographics. This makes it vital that questions are asked, and answers are given. In this series, we hope to have pressing questions and concerns answered, while also generating curiosity and establishing a launching point for activism of your own. The world is ours collectively, and we must work together. But first, we need to listen and hear one another’s ideas, because to solve a collective problem, you need collective input.
