Are you confused and frustrated by how all the other moms make it look so easy? And somehow you're still floundering despite trying even harder... Your purse is as overflowing as your mind, you never feel like a good enough mom, and you don't dare have anyone over to visit to witness your messy home. You just want the best for your kids, but you can't figure out how to manage the chaos, both in your mind and in your house. Oh, I've been there, mama. Some days, I'm still there. Parenting with ADHD is hard! We want to be structured for our kids, yet we can't seem to stay consistent even for ourselves. But I'm letting go of everyone else's perception of a "good mom" and stepping into loving who I am a little more each day. Will you join me? Whether you have ADHD like I do, or think you might, here is your permission slip to let go of the pinterest worthy visions of organization and structure fit for everyone else. Let's do life like our brains do life: creatively, lovingly, and with all your might. Moms with ADHD have a superpower of always trying their best, even when it doesn't pan out. How do I know? I have known about my ADD for over twenty years, and I want to share all of this hard-earned ADHD knowledge with you, making your adjustment a lot easier and faster than mine was. What does Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder look like in women? We'll dive into emotional regulation, motivation, executive function, hormones, medication, and natural treatments. Women with ADHD share their diagnosis stories with us, whether inattentive, hyperactive or combined, from childhood through adult diagnoses. We also talk about ADHD's so-called friends like depression, anxiety, addiction, disordered eating, other learning differences, and what I've learned through therapy and CBT. Science is my jam and learning about how our brains work through the lens of scientific research helps us understand who we are. ADHD is not just for little boys; it looks different in girls. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurological medical condition, not an excuse for lazy, stupid, unmotivated people to not live up to our potential. Let's agree to throw that thought in the trash. Once we understand how our brains work, we can dive into the practical strategies like structuring our day, minimalism, money, nurturing our relationships, daily rhythms, using a planner, and improving our sleep. I want to help you build your version of a joyful family life. We talk about everything from ADHD to Zebras, because that is how Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder works: to us, our thoughts are clearly connected, but non-linear to everyone else. I want you to love being a zebra in a world full of horses. We were born as unique, gorgeous creatures, not meant to blend in with the usual nor mundane. When we embrace who we are and how our brains work, we can figure out how to live out lives successfully and in turn, lead our families well. At the end of the day, we just want to be good moms. Spoiler alert: you are already a great mom. If you're ready to see that with your own two eyes, hit play and listen in as we love ourselves a little more each day of our ADHD lives. ADHD does NOT mean you're doomed to be a hot mess, mama! You CAN rewrite your story from shame spiral to success story, and I'll be right here beside you to cheer you on! E267: Constantly Feel Like You’re Behind? 4 Reasons Why

6/12/2025
What “should” you have done already? Finish your degree? Pass your driver’s license test? Make that doctor’s appt? Left the house for school pickup? If you’re constantly thinking “I’m behind!”, this episode is for you. Often it’s literal, as in, “I’m 20 minutes late to my appointment!” But it’s also in the big things, like you “should” have more kids by now or gotten that promotion. You’re not alone! Feeling behind has come up in several discussions recently both in Group Coaching, and in writing my book. What are the patterns showing up in this pervasive problem among women with ADHD? Here’s how to move forward both logistically and mentally. ***Note: This episode originally aired in April of 2024. As I write my book on Motherhood in ADHD while my boys are at home all summer (send prayers and patience), I'm sharing past episodes that topped the charts last year. I know these episodes will support you with some integral skills for ADHD and lots of virtual hugs. E266: No Perfect Plan: Letting Good Enough Be Good Enough

5/29/2025
But I want to do everything... well. Ever find yourself trying so hard to get it just right… only to realize that you’re missing the whole point?!? This week, I’m sharing some very real behind-the-scenes of my life right now: juggling the end-of-school chaos, trying to write a book I’ve dreamed about for years, and realizing (once again) that perfectionism is still sneaking into the driver’s seat. In this vulnerable episode, I unpack the mental load of ADHD motherhood when the “busy” becomes relentless. I talk about asking for help (even when it feels bougie), redefining what “good enough” looks like, and letting go of the fantasy plan I had in my head. You’ll hear about my new sourdough hobby adventures, the emotional labor of summer transitions, and how I’m learning to hold my goals a little more loosely. Plus, I share what I’m learning from my work with Dr. Sandra Kooij’s team on rewording ADHD diagnostic tools for women to encompass a more realistic and relatable view, plus how that work is shaping the way I understand myself and my capacity. This isn’t a “wrap it in a bow” kind of episode. It’s messy, real, and honest. If you’ve been quietly wondering, “Why can’t I do it all?”, this episode is your reminder that you were never meant to. E265: How Do You Keep Up with Everything as a Mom with ADHD?

5/22/2025
How do moms do ALL.THE.THINGS in a methodical, consistent manner? My client asked me this earlier this month. She wanted to see how someone else “does it all” in order to get a better grasp on what it looks like. Plus she asked for an example of a weekly schedule where somebody meal plans, cooks, takes care of their kids, and works part time. “Doing it all” is an overwhelming challenge that so many moms face. In this episode, I’m sharing a clip from our call where I explain how I do it all. Spoiler alert: I don’t do it all at the same time. This episode is a deep dive into real, actionable strategies to build a flexible weekly schedule that fits your unique brain—and your real life, messiness, and all. Reminder: you are not a robot. You’re also not parenting a bunch of predictable and programmable robots. Plus, ADHD is anything but predictable! Unless you’re predicting chaos… Soooo, how do you deal with unpredictability in a job that requires a lot of consistency, such as parenting? You work WITH your brain. Instead of chasing an unrealistic ideal, I’m walking you through a realistic plan that is easily adjusted as your life (and your kids!) change. Lowering the chaos starts with identifying what is most important to you, taking care of yourself, and implementing your foundational schedule in baby steps. Peek behind the curtain as I share my own approach to balancing meal planning, part-time work, household chores, and kid schedules, emphasizing the power of routines, batching, and giving yourself grace when things don’t go as planned. Tune in for: The honest truth on why consistency in motherhood is a myth (and why systems and batching are your new best friends) A step-by-step walkthrough of creating a foundational schedule that works for real humans (messy mornings and all!) Why “bare minimum” isn’t lazy—it’s brilliant Meal planning hacks that even “please-don’t-make-me-cook” mamas can love Permission to do less, love yourself more, and actually enjoy motherhood—even when the doo-doo hits the wall (literally and figuratively) This episode is packed with practical tips for lowering decision fatigue, embracing imperfection, and giving yourself credit for how far you’ve come. Whether you’re struggling with meal planning, juggling conflicting priorities, managing transitions, or just feeling stuck in the chaos, I’ve got your back with honest advice and a reminder: you already are a great mom. Pop in your earbuds, take a deep breath, and let’s figure out together how to keep up with all the things—on your own terms. E263: Am I Too Much? Accepting & Loving Who You Are, Plus Your Retreat Invitation

5/8/2025
Ever feel like you’re “just too much”—too scattered, too loud, too mistake-prone, too ditzy, just…too all over the place? Maybe you dropped your phone in the ocean and screamed “noooo” until you cried? (Raising my hand slowly…) If so, you’re in the right place. This last couple of weeks has been tough – a sinus infection, perimenopause brain fog, sunburned kids, lost phones, scraped bumpers, too-much-talking children, and waves of “am I too much for everyone?” If you’re a mama with ADHD barely keeping your head above the laundry—err, water—this one’s for you. Here’s what we’re discussing today: Why “careless mistake” is a phrase I wish would disappear (like my phone in the waves) The inside scoop on what “I’m too much” really means—and how it’s all relative (spoiler: it’s not you, it’s the situation and who you’re with) My tried-and-true tricks for loving yourself through chaos, mistakes, and feeling like a walking, talking, sticky note of forgetfulness How to communicate with your family when your ADHD turns up to level eleven—and what a little vulnerability can do for your relationships What it looks like when you stop trying to shove yourself into everyone else’s “normal” and start being unapologetically YOU (even if “you” occasionally forgets the sunscreen) A sneak peek at the amazing ADHD Mama Retreat—your chance for a whole weekend of self-care, nature, and connecting with mamas who actually get it (and won't judge you for that time you forgot your own age) This isn’t the land of Pinterest-perfect life. It’s the real, messy, laugh-so-you-don’t-cry journey of being a mom with ADHD who is embracing their quirks—and finally letting go of the “I should just try harder” myth. I’m hoping you feel seen, heard, and maybe even ready to forgive yourself for that thing you messed up last week (you know the one). Ready to hug your “too much” self and join a community of mamas who do the same? Hit play. And join us in October for the 4th annual ADHD Moms Retreat. Stick around until the end of the episode, when I’ll tell you all about this amaaaaaaaaaazing weekend that you just have to come to! Early bird tickets are available until June 1st! E262: How to Ask for Help When You Have ADHD

4/24/2025
How can you ask for help? When you have ADHD, you may not ask for help. Maybe you feel like you have to figure it out on your own. You may not want others to know you’re struggling or working this hard to keep up. Or maybe you don’t want to look weak or incompetent. But humans aren’t meant to function entirely solo. Mamas Nicole & Rebecca both submitted the question of how to ask for help. Here’s a clip from Successful Mama Meetups during our month themed "Help Me Help You (How to ask for help from your non-neurodivergent family, friends, and coworkers)” because the mamas requested this topic. You’re not alone in this. I’m sharing supportive strategies on how to share about your ADHD at a level that makes you feel comfortable. E261: What If Everyone Hates Me? Book Update #3

4/10/2025
What if everyone hates me? What if no one reads my book? No one told me that writing a book came with an existential crisis. Wrestling with how to write the book that moms need, while also showing up fully as myself, and writing words I can stand by for decades to come… this has been a lot more weighty than I expected. I thought I was going to be updating you on logistics, timelines, and contracts. What I’m mostly sharing is how I’m navigating a tough inner critic, anxiety, and people pleasing. Let’s jump in. E260: Are You Lazy and Procrastinating or Prioritizing for Later?

3/20/2025
HOT TAKE: I don’t believe people with ADHD are lazy. There is a reason that they don’t want to or can’t do the thing, and when you untangle that obstacle, voila! It’s easier to get things done. How do you know the difference between procrastinating and prioritizing for later? There are some things in life we can’t avoid, so how do you deal with them? How do you know when it truly is not the time for certain tasks and feel okay setting them aside without worrying if you’ll never remember them again? Here’s a clip from Successful Mama Meetups during our month themed "Procrastination or Burnout? (How to tell the difference between when you need rest & when you’re avoiding something)” because the mamas requested this topic. You’re not alone in this. E259: Juggling Big Goals and Parenting with ADHD: Book Update #2

3/6/2025
Ditch the quest for Pinterest perfection and actually get stuff done. In this episode, I’m getting real about how my book proposal is going amidst juggling the whirlwind of parenting and work projects. The highs and lows of writing are kicking in already. Do I need to write multiple books because there's just too much to say? Slow your roll, Patricia! One step at a time! I still have to balance work and family life, which is no easy feat, especially while ADHD and parenting are being greatly affected in America’s current situation. I don’t have a lot of answers today, but I have honest stories to share about what makes this goal difficult, yet worthwhile. Come along while I attempt to figure out how to make big dreams and goals a reality while keeping my sanity. When you’ve yelled at your family and said things you regret during a grownup temper tantrum and wish you could hide under a rock forever, what do you do next? E257: I Love You But I Don't Like You: Supporting ADHD Relationships

2/6/2025
You chose this person for a reason. You love them. Aaaaand relationships are complicated. Sometimes you may not LIKE your partner as much as you love them. Adding ADHD in the mix is more than another layer of complexity to your relationship, whether it affects you, your partner, or both. As Valentine's Day approaches, here’s a clip from Successful Mama Meetups during our month theme "I love you, but I don't like you". I’m sharing supportive strategies for fostering strong, loving connections. Understanding ADHD's impact on your relationships makes a huge difference in how you interact together and stay together.
