In February 2013, American Century Investments conducted a survey of 1,054 full-time employed individuals between the ages of 55 and 65 who are currently participating in their employer-sponsored retirement plan. The purpose of the survey was to understand how pre-retirees view their lifetime efforts to prepare for retirement and to gauge perceptions of how well their employer supported their efforts.
