Tigra discusses the return of Midnight Man with Mr Knight, at Tigra’s apartment, alongside her son William. Mr. Knight appears disinterested in Midnight Man’s escapades much to Tigra’s surprise, and so she takes it upon herself to hunt him down, but not before a viewing of the Goonies on VHS. Touching base with Detective Flint and Hawkeye, Tigra manages to track down a common thread between the robberies and a grisly event that occurred to the victims’ parents…all slain by what appears to be a wild animal. Tigra ponders Marc’s nonchalance at capturing his old nemesis, and it’s not long before Tigra leaps in for the kill, after staking out the Midnight Man at his final target. Shockingly, the Midnight Man is revealed as Marc himself, and he explains to Tigra, the financial need to rob from the rich and criminal. Tigra is hurt at having been lied to by Marc, after all they have been through and so she leaves him at the rooftop, with Marc himself aware of the cruelty he’s inflicted on yet another person he cares about. Later on, Marc returns to Tigra’s apartment, sans mask, in a symbol of wanting to be closer with Tigra and wanting to be genuine with her. The issue ends with Tigra kissing Marc and clearly over the moon, with what could be the start of a new relationship. EPISODE 325: Rey is back to look at a MOON WALK (Moon Knight but not in his run) and this time, it's another obscure issue, SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN TEAM-UP VOL. 1 #1 (2013) by Christopher Yost . Always keen to delve into the obscure issues with Moony, Rey might have just potentially topped his last effort that had only a fleeting Moon Knight in a Black Panther issue... How does it stack up? PHASE OF THE MOON: Waning Gibbous SEGMENT: MOON WALK Superior Spider-Man Team-Up Vol. 1 #1 "A Day in Someone Else's Life" Release Date July 24, 2013 Cover Date September, 2013 Writer(s) Chris Yost Penciler(s) David López Inker(s) Andy Owens Colorist(s) Rachelle Rosenberg Letterer(s) Chris Eliopoulos Editor(s) Stephen Wacker BARE BONES (Written by Wiki): An organized group of criminals attempt to maul a couple in an alley, but Cloak and Dagger soon arrive. Before the dup can fight them, Spider-Man arrives, causing the criminals to run. Cloak shouts at Spider-Man, as they had the situation under control, but then Spidey punches Dagger. Later Spidey is seen fighting Daredevil. Seeing this on the news, Captain America informs the other Avengers that Spider-Man must be taken down for his recent attacks as well as his abnormal behavior over the past several weeks. In the meantime, Spider-Man is seen going after Gravity, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Ant-Man, each time with a big gun slung over his shoulder. The Avengers then arrive and start to attack Spider-Man, with Hulk and Thor eventually restraining him. Spidey tells Iron Man to not open his faceplate, but it is revealed that Stark is not even in the armor. Just then, Hyperion destroys the armor. Spider-Man reveals to the Avengers that Hyperion is possessed by Carrion. Carrion has been jumping from hero to hero in order to conquer with a hero's body (which is why Spider-Man was attacking the other heroes). Spider-Man must shoot Hyperion if Carrion is to be defeated. He and the Avengers fight Hyperion, but they don't trust Spidey to fire the gun, as they think that the blast will also kill Hyperion (which is what they think Spidey wants). Spider-Man says it won't, and Cap gives him permission to use the gun. Spidey fires, defeating Carrion and saving Hyperion. Though he has regained his trust in the Avengers, Spider-Man still does not see them as allies. He needs to have his own team, and it is revealed that he has captured several Sinister Six members in order to achieve whatever plan he is thinking of. Meanwhile, Carrion is talking to the Jackal about some plans. Their first step: kill Spider-Man. A house for the blind is swept up in flames thanks to the deadly Ms. Mephi but the Toxic Avengers jumps in to save those trapped within. It’s here he meets Claire and after punching the face in of her would-be captor, the two soon seemingly fall in love. Junko recalls how he became the Toxic avenger to Claire, and in a twist of fate, the health club where he worked, was traumatised and eventually transformed, is also run by Mr. Ahriman…who seems to have ties with the criminal underworld. Claire delcares that evil is afoot and we soon see minions of the Elite Corp Blackstar 666…a group headed by the mysterious Chairman. While training, he asks Marc about his super-powers. Marc tells him that he doesn't have any, but indicates that he once developed enhanced strength and reflexes under the full moon. Khonshu continues to whisper in Marc's ear, and tells him to get rid of Rob. Suddenly, Midnight bursts through the wall of the house and attacks them. Marc hurls a gym weight at him, but Midnight catches and throws it at Rob. Midnight is angry that Marc isn't trying harder to hunt him down. He wants to establish himself as Moon Knight's arch nemesis, but so far as Midnight is concerned, Marc has not been paying him due attention. As the two wrestle about, Marc picks up a sharpened piece of metal and drives it into Midnight's left ear. Midnight howls in pain, then pulls the metal out, trailing pieces of flesh along with it. Marc begins battering at him with hand weights, but Midnight's enhanced stamina enables him to withstand the blows. He pins Marc to the wall, then proceeds to extract one of his teeth and forces him to swallow it. All the while, he continues to taunt Marc with fantasies of what he will do to Marc's former lover, Marlene. After he is finished torturing him, Midnight leaves, and says that their final showdown will take place at the stroke of midnight. Rob leaves and meets with Frenchie. He tells him what happened, and Frenchie warns him about the infectious nature of Marc's lifestyle. Marc changes into his costume and meets up with Ray. They board the Moon-chopper and fly out over the city. Marc has a bead on where Midnight is going to be, but something distracts him. He sees emergency vehicles converging around some skyscrapers. On the rooftop of one of the buildings stands the Punisher. Moon Knight rushes in and all hell breaks loose before Reese is able to subdue the villain with a neat trick of her own. Marc aims a high-powered sniper rifle at a building across the street, just as military officials escort a prisoner across the quad. He executes a blond haired woman who apparently revealed highly classified state secrets. Cross indicates that she had been previously brainwashed, and that she only revealed information already programmed inside her mind. Executing her was done merely to make the Germans and the Russians nervous. The Present: Captain America stands in Marc Spector's mansion in his civilian attire. Addressing by his former rank of sergeant, he warns Spector to stay clear of events involving the current civil war. Spector's maid, Nedda, comes into the room and tells Cap how she grew up admiring him. Distracting Marc even further is Khonshu. Adopting the visage of the late mercenary Bushman, Khonshu urges Marc to kill Captain America. Fortunately, Marc has grown quite accustomed to ignoring Khonshu's violent demands. After Cap finishes speaking, Marc fires back, criticizing the war, comparing it to a sordid love affair between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. He goes on to say that Steve that Tony are "trying to prove who has the bigger super power". Having settled very little, Cap repeats his warning and exits the mansion. Marc later goes out as Moon Knight. He meets up with Detective Flint who has been investigating a recent string of murders. The crimes have all the earmarks of the Midnight Man, but for the fact that the original Midnight Man died several years ago. Flint even disinterred Mogart's remains and tested his DNA just to be certain. Moon Knight tells Flint that he'll look into it. While on patrol, Moon Knight comes upon a hood attacking a young woman. He brutally dives into him, wrapping him up with a length of chain. Later, Marc returns home where he meets with his physical therapist. Elsewhere, the mysterious Midnight killer claims another victim. He cuts off their arms and legs and begins swinging them overtop his head in glee. EPISODE 319: Rey is joined by first time podcaster, but avid comic book reader Kala Torres, to chat about one of his favourite characters, Black Panther! But instead of killing him, he decides to flee to accelerate his plan. When Spidey goes to tell Shuri, she has a shrewd idea where he's going: his satellite in orbit where he's holding M.U.S.I.C. Shuri sends schematics of the satellite to Flea, who determines that they may need an espionage specialist to get in the satellite. Luckily, Spidey knows just the person, as he calls Steve Rogers to bring in Black Widow. At the moment, Widow is recovering NORAD codes form Hydra. Up in space, Klaw muses to M.U.S.I.C. that her father is a fool to have betrayed him. Klaw then begins to implement his plan to use M.U.S.I.C. to mind-control everyone in the world. M.U.S.I.C. pleads him not to do this and asks if being made of sound has made him so isolated from others. In response, Klaw snaps at her, stating that being made of sound is a gift and that isolation is preferable to him as he elevates himself to godhood. Meanwhile, Shuri and Widow meet up, and take a Wakandan space shuttle to find Klaw. On the way, Shuri discuss with Widow whether her compassion is a weakness. At the same time, Spidey calls with the A.I.M. scientist, who pleads for his daughter's life, stating that she's innocent of his crimes. As they approach the station, Flea tells them that Klaw is on alert to their approach. To cover for their infiltration, Flea decides to make a risky distraction by damaging the station and getting hit. Both Shuri and Widow then infiltrate the station but they are too late: Klaw uses M.U.S.I.C. to unleash The Scream, affecting every creature that can hear on Earth. The two try to fight back but Klaw draws on M.U.S.I.C.'s power to amplify his own. Widow distracts Klaw as Shuri gets close to M.U.S.I.C. but she can't bring herself to kill her, even knowing that Klaw would destroy her and Wakanda in retaliation as well as find another victim. Klaw mocks Shuri for her compassion. But before he could kill her, M.U.S.I.C., acting on Shuri's bit of mercy, repulses Klaw from the station. As they free M.U.S.I.C., they get a call from Fela, who has survived. Shuri says that she could kiss him and promises a parade in his honor; Flea asks for permission to faint. Shuri offers to undo what Klaw did to her but M.U.S.I.C. refuses, striving to be better than Klaw. Widow then asks Shuri if she's kept her inner demons under control. Shuri admits that she will not let them control. Widow comments that she's spoken like a truth warrior.
