Episode 88: Wait, Is That Hilary Duff on The Bachelor?

Marisa and Sam kick off 2022 but talking about Hilary Duff's short and sweet appearance on The Bachelor Season 26, Episode 2 to promote her upcoming Hulu series How I Met Your Father. Largely underutilized, still serving looks, HIlary showed she still gives one shady confessional. Plus, Marisa tries to rank her favorite dating shows.


Episode 87: Lizzie McGuire vs. Andi Mack

Marisa and Sam watch the pilot episode of the show that brought Marisa back into Disney Channel: Terri Minsky's Andi Mack, and compare the two Minsky properties. Basically, this means Marisa waxes poetic about Andi Mack for an hour while Sam just questions whether this is even plausible and ends up extending an open invite to Jack Nicholson to join the podcast.


Episode 86: Material Girls (2006) Recap

Marisa and Sam recap the 2006 film Material Girls, starring Hilary Duff, Haylie Duff, Anjelica Huston, and a surprise appearance from Dot-Marie Jones. Together, they quickly learn why the film has garnered a 4% Rotten Tomatoes score, and try to figure out why someone who wants to sell a company would choose to actively devalue it before doing so. Plus, a troubling discovery.


Episode 85: Lizzie McGuire vs. Unfabulous

Marisa and Sam track down the pilot of the unheralded 2004 Nickelodeon show Unfabulous, which stars Emma Roberts as basically Lizzie McGuire's cousin. In Episode 101, "The Party," Randy Klein seriously injures himself and can't throw his back-to-school party, leaving the door open for unpopular, clumsy Addy, a self-taught musician, to host the event. Plus, Marisa provides an update on where she's at with Zoey 101.

Marisa and Sam watch the pilot episode of Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 entitled "Welcome to PCA," and compare it to Lizzie McGuire. Who has the better theme song? Which characters are more compelling?
