It's New Music Monday here on FuzzHeavy. Our chance to get you caught up on some killer new tracks that have come out in the last few weeks. This is also Day 1 of "Dark Stars Week", as we celebrate the upcoming release of the debut full-length, by Finland's own Dark Stars, titled Redshift.
We have an epic playlist, of Long-Form Fuzz and Doom tracks - around 80 minutes of music! Some bands just excel at writing 8, 9, 10+ minute songs, that don't fit a normal episode. But it's killer stuff and deserves to be heard, so I usually group 'em together in a single show.
Welcome to Part 2 of New Music Monday. This time we spotlight the Fuzz and Psych side of the equation, while still staying relatively heavy. A killer mix of dynamics and stoney grooves happening, as these tracks tend to wash over you vs punch you in the face.
It's New Music Monday time again, loaded with a grip of killer new tracks! So many, in fact, that I decided to split it into 2 episodes. Today breaks a bit more on the heavy side, while part 2 features a bit more psych and fuzz.
Stoked for another New Release Friday show. Definitely a slow down in the volume of releases over the previous 2 weeks, but still a ton of killer new tunes out. We have 13 awesome tracks in the set, featuring an impressive cross-section of heavy underground artists.
Today we have the third, and final, installment in our New Music Monday trilogy of episodes. It has been an epic couple of weeks for new releases, and today's set features some epic tracks from those releases.

The top of the week means it's New Music Monday time again, and we have a killer setlist lined up. Amidst all the holiday hub bub last week, there was a ton of great new music coming out. I haven't seen a release period like that since probably 4/20. So what does that mean for us? Well, due to the high volume of quality releases, we have a 3-part New Music Monday episode. Today is Part I and features 14 awesome tracks.
It's New Release Friday, which is definitely one of my favorite shows of the week. There's always a few new bands making their debut, and today is no exception. We have 14 big ones lined up and ready to rip through a powerhouse of a playlist.
We have featured music and an interview with Texas band Greenbeard lined up for today. I caught up with the guys when they were in Denver for the Sailor Records 7th Anniversary show. Let me tell ya, that was a ripping good time, with killer sets from a wide range of bands, spanning those 7 years. A ton of talent on that label, most of it local to Colorado - Greenbeard being one of the few exceptions. Having them in town for the gig was one of the special highlights for me, and their set...
It's New Music Monday time again, and we have a killer set of 15 tracks - mostly stuff I missed or couldn't fit into a new release episode, some stuff I missed during my hiatus, and a couple pre-release tracks in the mix as well. It's all pretty bad ass stuff, with some nice diversity across the tracks. As always, if it's on the show it's music I actively listen to IRL, and give it my full endorsement.
The last couple of weeks, I have been digging on some new releases, that contained what I call dirge tracks - slower tempo, dynamic, often down-beat songs that for one reason or another get under my skin. So for today's show, I decide to dust off some of my old favorites, mix em in with some of these new songs, and put out a small dirge-flavored set.
On deck today we have a feature interview with Canadian band and Ripple Music artist, The Hazytones. We chatted about the upcoming album, lineup changes in the band, band chemistry, and the importance of keeping things...well, "hazy".
Last week saw a ton of super solid new music come out, including great stuff from two of my favorite labels, Ripple and Argonauta. As always, I've tried to put together an awesome set of familiar artists, mixed with emerging artists, who may be hitting your radar for the first time. Included today is a full, 4-track set of new releases from Swedish bands. Always seems to be a diverse mix of killer music coming from Sweden.
