This week I was reminded that it is the anniversary of the release, on the same day, 19th October 1979, of the debut albums from both The Specials and Madness, and this got me thinking. Friday saw the re-release of the Paul Weller album Modern Classics: The Greatest Hits. This collection of the singles released from his first four solo albums plus new track, is an absolute joy and will grace anyone's music collection.
