This being the ninth studio album from such a music icon it pays homage to his early influences from the 50's and 60's. Released in 1983 this was again a hit for his fans. We certainly found it light and crisp with all the trademark vocal sounds of a true vocalist.

This is the fifth and final studio album from The Police. It is their most successful, sporting several chart topping songs. Rolling Stone named it Album of the Year in 1983 and it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2009. Widely acclaimed by critics each song was seen as a mini soundtrack. Recorded Thanksgiving Day 1976 at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. Billed as the final show for this tremendous group it was who's who of the rock scene at the time. Guests like Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, and Neil Diamond joined the festivities. Also filmed, the show became a documentary released in 1978 by famed filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Give it a listen and if you want to see what some hail as the best music documentary give it a view. This album can be seen as a transitional one between the heavy metal sound of their first two albums and the beginning of the radio-friendly direction of later releases. The album featured heavy metal rockers such as "Rock! Rock! til you Drop", "Stagefright" and "Die Hard the Hunter" as well as Top-40 hits "Photograph", "Rock of Ages" and "Foolin'.
