Heritage Days in Faribault is Next Week

Judging by the massive crowds seen last weekend during the Dam Days celebration in Morristown next week Faribault should be loaded with people. Heritage Days opens Wednesday and is capped off with a parade on Saturday. Numbers of units are down for the parade but there are still lots of fun activities to experience including the annual KDHL Medallion Hunt. Clues Start Wednesday!

Heidi Nelson, Executive Director of the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault gives an update on the "100 Club Membership Campaign." For $2,500 people become lifetime members of PCA and a yearly party is thrown for them. Approximately 35 more 100 club members are needed to reach goal.

Dam Days is this weekend. We stop by Old Town Tavern in Morristown to learn about the 36th annual event which did not happen last year. Steve Nordmeier ran down a list of events. Rice County Sheriff's Deputy Aaron Snyder patrols the community and joined us along with Fire Chief Adam Uittenbogaard. Legion Commander Dennis Schmidtke says more young people are needed in the organization. Dam Days 1st Princess Karli Chemelik, 2nd Princess Casey Lemieux were delightful guests also.
