Thousands Of STI Home-Testing Kits Distributed In Pilot Schemes

With many medical services being curtailed over the past year due to Covid-19, access to sexual health clinics has also been impacted. The HSE is running a pilot scheme of sending out STI home-testing kits to people in Dublin, Cork and Kerry. In just over a week it distributed more than 1,800 kits to homes. Our reporter Josh Crosbie has been looking at why there has been such a demand for such a service and how prevalent sexually transmitted infections are at the moment.
