Canada's chief public health officer says an early spike in a strain of influenza B this flu season has sent more children to hospital. Doctor Theresa Tam says influenza B doesn't usually peak until February or later, but the strain is circulating across the country, along with a strain of influenza A, which typically targets the elderly.
