You need not look further than the cross to see the love of God toward the elect. Our greatest need was met by Jesus therefore he will surely meet our every need. His love for us gives us victory over any scenario.
Here in the beginning of John’s gospel, we have two of the most foundational truths of the Christian faith: 1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. 2) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.. It is through the God-Man, Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, that we find true hope and redemption.
The Word of God is essential to our faith. It reveals to us not only attributes of God but our need for confession. Nehemiah 9:1-6 walks us through how the Word of the Lord reveals our need for confession. When we confess our sins, we are able to enjoy worship the way God intended it to be.
