This week we are studying The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our prophet decided that to celebrate the restoration of the gospel and the first vision given to Joseph smith, instead of building a monument out of granite or stone, he would build one out of words. The monument of words the first presidency created is titled “The Restoration of the Fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: A Bicentennial Proclamation to the World.” It’s a monument not just to the First Vision but also to everything Jesus Christ has done—and is still doing—since then. Children will learn these concepts: “God loves His children in every nation of the world.” The Restoration began with an answer to a question. Jesus Christ has restored His Church. “The heavens are open.” “Heavenly messengers came to instruct Joseph Smith”

By Faith All Things Are Fulfilled - Ether 12-15

11/24/2024
Welcome to the Come Follow Me Kids Podcast! This is a Book of Mormon Podcast for kids. Aka a scripture study podcast for children. We are a primary podcast. Specifically; this is Come Follow Me for Kids - focused on helping your kids learn the gospel! We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and we create this podcast for primary aged children (ages 2-12) following along with the church’s Come Follow Me Manual. We are not officially affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and refer you to their website for any questions regarding doctrine or gospel information. This week we learn about the destruction or end of the jaredites. We learn about how Ether could not be captured by them and how he hid in a cave. We learn about Shiz and Coriantumur and their final battle. Principles the children will learn this week are: Faith in Jesus Christ can lead to miracles. Jesus Christ can turn my weakness into strength. Rejecting the Lord’s prophets puts me in spiritual danger. Faith is believing in things I cannot see. Jesus Christ can help me become spiritually strong. The story about Parker and other audio comes from the Friend Magazine or the church’s youth album. November 25–December 1: “By Faith All Things Are Fulfilled” Ether 12–15 Ether’s prophecies to the Jaredites were “great and marvelous” (Ether 12:5). He “told them of all things, from the beginning of man” (Ether 13:2). He foresaw “the days of Christ” and the latter-day New Jerusalem (Ether 13:4). And he spoke of “hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God” (Ether 12:4). But the Jaredites rejected his words, for the same reason people often reject the prophecies of God’s servants today—“because they [see] them not” (Ether 12:5). It takes faith to believe in promises or warnings about things we can’t see, just as it took faith for Ether to prophesy of “great and marvelous things” to an unbelieving people. It took faith for Moroni to trust that the Lord could take his “weakness in writing” and turn it into strength (see Ether 12:23–27). It’s this kind of faith that makes us “sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God” (Ether 12:4). And it’s this kind of faith by which “all things are fulfilled” (Ether 12:3).

That Evil May Be Done Away “Ether 6-11” The Jaredites

11/17/2024
The Jaredites were destroyed. Remember what we read in Mosiah? - Hundreds of years after the Jaredites were destroyed, the Nephites discovered the ruins of their ancient civilization. Among these ruins was a mysterious record—plates of “pure gold” that were “filled with engravings,” and the Nephites “were desirous beyond measure” to read it. Today we have an abridgment of this record, and it’s called the book of Ether. What we are reading in the scriptures this week! When the Nephites read it, “they were filled with sorrow” to learn of the tragic fall of the Jaredites. “Nevertheless it gave them much knowledge, in the which they did rejoice” You, too, may find sad moments in this book. But you can also rejoice in this gift of knowledge. As Moroni wrote, “it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you … that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men” So let’s remember: The Lord will guide us through our mortal journey. We are blessed when we follow God’s prophet. We can trust Heavenly Father to comfort us when we are scared. Remembering what the Lord has done brings gratitude and peace. We are not officially affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and refer you to their website for any questions regarding doctrine or gospel information. This week we are reading about the Brother of Jared and how their language is not confounded. They are led through the wilderness in a cloud. They are chastised for not praying and repent. The Lord guides them and hears their prayers. They build barges that are tight like a dish. The brother of Jared asks the lord how to have light in the boat and the Lord asks what He should do. The brother of Jared makes 16 clear stones and asks the lord to touch them and make them glow. The Lord does this and the brother of Jared sees his finger and is surprised to learn the Lord has flesh and blood. What we learn this week: As I cry unto the Lord, He will have compassion on me. I can receive revelation for my life. Through His chastening, the Lord invites me to repent and come unto Him. The Lord will prepare me to cross my “great deep.” Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers. I was created in the image of God. As they grow, your children will encounter many false messages about God, themselves, and their physical bodies. We remind them that their bodies are a gift from and in the similitude of God!

Jesus gives the sacrament to the Nephites - 3 Nephi 17-19 “Behold My Joy Is Full”

10/6/2024
LDS Kids Primary Podcast Come Follow Me Podcast for Children. In this weeks episode we will see Jesus anoint his disciples and give them the ability to give others the Holy Ghost. He heals the sick Nephites and blesses their children one by one. They are encircled by fire and angels minister unto them. Principles taught: I can be filled with the Spirit as I take the sacrament. When we do something often, it can become routine or casual. We sometimes end up doing it without even thinking. We teach how you can keep this from happening with the weekly ordinance of the sacrament. The Savior loves each of Heavenly Father’s children. I can think about Jesus when I take the sacrament. Very few of God’s children have seen the Savior and heard His voice, as the people at Bountiful did. We will teach the children that they are blessed for their faith! Captain Moroni “Stand Fast In The Faith of Christ” Alma 43-52

8/11/2024
Welcome to the Come Follow Me Kids Podcast! This is a scripture study podcast for children. We play games and do activities so kids can learn to love the Book of Mormon. This week we are studying “Stand Fast in the Faith of Christ” Alma 43–52. This is a Captain Moroni Poscast. We learn about Captain Moroni vs Zerahemnah. Captain Moroni vs Amalickiah. Amalickiah vs Lehonti. And finally Pahoran and the Freemen vs Kingmen. We are also introduced to Teancum! Children will come away knowing; Satan tempts and deceives us little by little. I can be “firm in the faith of Christ” like Captain Moroni. I can find spiritual protection in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Unity brings safety. What principles are our Church leaders emphasizing in our day? You can look for them in the For the Strength of Youth: “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” and the Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood Quorum themes.
