In my line of work, I meet new people almost every day, so many; in fact, over the course of a year, I meet a lot of new people. Some people I meet are just a one-time thing encountered in that day’s business functions. Some people I meet turn into business acquaintances whom I will continue to do business with, talking randomly to every so often. But then there are those rare few that you encounter every so often in life who become close friends who literally change your life for the better, and that is who Fletcher is to us. We met Fletch in 2022 at CRS in Nashville, which is the Country Radio Seminar. Our 501(c)3 ministry, Silent Witness, Inc., had a booth set up, and we were promoting our current Project that year, “LIVE.” Suicide prevention is something that Fletch believes in, so he stopped by our booth to visit with us, and it was during that conversation a friendship and common ground were found to work together. Out of everything we do, our music, the work we do with Silent Witness, Inc, and everything we do in our Christian Life Coaching Ministry, it was this podcast show that struck a chord with the three of us. Fletch said he would be happy to be involved in our podcast show, and soon thereafter, he began producing these podcast shows for us, which has just raised our work to a whole new level. Little did any of us know that about a month from that day, Fletcher would be diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that would set his life on a whole new course. A friend and I met for lunch one day to discuss some ministry business. As we were talking, the waitress came up to take our order. We talked for a few minutes and then placed our order. As she was about to leave, my friend said we would be praying in a few minutes before we ate, and he asked if there was anything we could pray for her about. She took a deep breath and immediately said, “Peace '' pray for me to be at peace and to have peace in my life. She said thank you and strolled off to turn our order in. I sat there for a few minutes and took that experience in. A young lady whom most would think had the world on a leash was asking for us to pray for peace. The daily headlines indicate that people's mental and spiritual states are not at ease, not at peace, and it became apparent to me how important a message on peace and a new beginning is greatly needed for today's society, God shows us in Philippians 4:4-7 how to become and remain centered in our spirit and minds and how His perfect peace keeps our hearts and minds safe and at ease. Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. I Know You’d Be Proud” is a song written by Jimmy Thrasher, Corinne McKnight, and Tim Pastor and produced by Jimmy Thrasher. After losing his late wife Tammy to cancer some three years earlier, Jimmy Thrasher noticed a building being torn down on Woodward Avenue in Muscle Shoals, Al. He then began to think of how much things had changed since losing his wife. He then began to think of how much his life had changed since losing her, and a nagging question arose. What would she think about all of the changes, what would she think about me? As he continued to drive, the answer wrapped him up like a warm blanket – “She would be proud.” That experience weighed on Jimmy’s mind and heart until action was required.
