One Valentine's Day, he took his girlfriend for a snowboard trip and ended up breaking his neck, paralyzing him from the chest down. He got addicted to the heavy pain medication the doctor's gave him, then ended up selling a large amount of a fentanyl-laced counterfeit version of the drug made from the Mexican cartel.
