11 | Inner Child Healing with Bobbi Schweighardt

2/2/2022
Inner child healing, attachment styles, astrology, knowing yourself, the dating scene and our take on empath slander. What more could you ask for in an episode of the Empaths in Ag Podcast? This week Terri chats with Bobbi Sweighhardt, a shining soul with a Leo Sun, Virgo Moon and Rising for her Big 3. "I currently do family work along side children’s services with families who have involvement. I’m applying for my Master’s in Counselling Psychology because my passion lies in healing and empowering young people through safe and intentional conversations. My goal is to merge therapy with options of spiritual practices to create a more holistic approach to healing (reiki, yoga, breath work, shadow work, nutrition, community, even astrology) as there’s a cultural shift happening of people seeking alternate health practices. I’ve always been drawn to spirituality from a young age, somewhat privately, but now I’m becoming more self assured to share my intuitive and empathic gifts to the world." Find Bobbi on Instagram. 2 | How to Diversify your Ag Business to Reach Urban Markets with Charlotte Wasylik of Chatsworth Farm

12/17/2020
To kick off the first of many guest interviews on the Empaths in Ag podcast, Terri speaks with Charlotte Wasylik of Chatsworth Farm based near Vermilion, Alberta. The pair take a deep dive into how to expand your farming or ranching operation for new streams of income while also sharing the process to success. This topic could not come at a better time with the pandemic limiting in-person tours. In the case of Chatsworth Farm, Charlotte shares that what started out as a simple Facebook live video for family has turned into several private tours, markets, online live classes for educational purposes, and the newest idea of subscription tours for those who don’t have the opportunity to visit a farm or ranch on a regular basis. Wasylisk suggests Open Farm Days held in August each year is a great place to dip your feet in if you feel opening up your operation to the public is a direction you’d like to try out. The ‘wound’ Terri was speaking to in this episode is the Mother Wound (She double checked) which keeps healers and creatives from charging well for their work. This requires healing and redirection of your mindset around income from ‘starving artist’ to successful entrepreneur to allow money to come to you easily. About Chatsworth Farm Chatsworth Farm is a traditional mixed family farm in east central Alberta, about two hours east of Edmonton. Rick, whose grandparents farmed but whose parents did not, started the farm in 1993 and married Johanna the following year. The farm was named after the old Chatsworth school district in which it's located, and “we can see the pioneer one-room schoolhouse from our front porch.” The farm consists of a family of five including three children: Charlotte, Nick, and Alex, who love living and working at home. Nick and Alex work full-time on the farm and Charlotte helps out when she can, when she's not busy with her work in event management, marketing, graphic design, and photography. They grow grain and legume crops, alfalfa, and raise beef cattle, sheep, turkeys, ducks, and chickens for eggs and meat, on more than 2,000 acres of beautiful rolling parkland and are now a certified Verified Beef Production Plus (VBP+) producer.
