For it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8)However proceeding faith in Jesus Christ there must be repentance and a turning away from sin and an obedience to God the Father. We are also told to continually examine ourselves to see whether you are in the faith - test yourselves (2 Corinthians 13:5).
