The Mariners are nearly a week deep into their Cactus League schedule, so how has the squad looked early on in Peoria? Rick Rizzs, Aaron Goldsmith, and Shannon Drayer host this week's edition of the Cactus League Report. Joining the crew this week are Mariners pitcher Dan Altavilla, outfielder Ben Gamel, and prospect Braden Bishop. Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto also joins this week's show to talk about what he's seen so far from the team's he's put together.


February 21, 2018 - Hour 2

Hour two of the Hot Stove gets underway with a visit from Mariners catcher Mike Zunino as he looks to build off of his impressive 2017 season. Later, Anthony Castrovince of visits with Gary Hill as they take a look at what the Mariners did this offseason as well as what they can accomplish this Spring. The Stove wraps with the best of Ron Fairly's appearance on the show from earlier in the month.


February 21, 2018 - Hour 1

The Hot Stove is live from Peoria as Mariners Spring Training is officially underway. Rick Rizzs, Shannon Drayer, and Gary Hill host. In the first hour, the crew is joined by Mariners Manager Scott Servais who gives his thoughts on everything that's gone on during the first week of camp. Later, Mariners outfielder Dee Gordon joins the show to detail how his first Spring as a full time outfielder has gone so far.

The future looks bright for young Mariners catcher Mike Marjama, who joins the Hot Stove League to give some insight on his season goals and his off-season training. And Jesse Smith, from the Mariners Analytics departments explains why Spring Training numbers are important.

A special Valentines Day edition of the Hot Stove League is underway! Mariners pitchers and catchers reported to Peoria today, which means Spring Training has officially started. Mariners Third Base Coach, Scott Brosius, and Robert Ford the voice of the Houston Astros join Rick, Shannon, and Mike.


February 7, 2018 - Hour 2

Hour number two of The Hot Stove begins with a visit from the legendary Mariners broadcaster and MLB great Ron Fairly. Red tells the guys plenty of stories from his baseball days including countless ones of his broadcast partner, the iconic Dave Niehaus. Later in the hour, the Mariners truck is on it's way to Peoria for Spring Training, so Mariners clubhouse manager Ryan Stiles joins the show for a feature on all that goes into prepping Seattle's Spring Training complex before the players...


February 7, 2018 - Hour 1

The Mariners truck has left for Peoria, so Spring Training is just days away. Aaron Goldsmith, Dan Wilson, and Gary Hill join forces for another edition of The Hot Stove. In the first hour, Mariners first base coach Chris Prieto joins the show as he give details on his outfield work with the newly acquired Dee Gordon. Later on, Rangers beat writer Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News stops by to preview the 2018 from a Texas point of view.


January 31, 2018 - Hour 2

The second hour of The Hot Stove gets underway with a visit from Mariners pitching Mel Stottlemyre Jr as he checks in from his offseason and also lets the guys know how the team is planning on avoiding as many injuries as they had in 2017. Also in the hour, the Big Maple James Paxton joins the show as he lets Rick, Blowers, and Gary know how he plans on building on his breakthrough 2017 season.


January 31, 2018 - Hour 1

Rick Rizzs, Mike Blowers, and Gary Hill host Wednesday's edition of The Hot Stove. Guests in the first hour include Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto as the M's are just two weeks out from reporting for Spring Training. Also in the hour, Tyler Kepner of the New York Times joins the show to discuss the stalled out free agent market as well as the Baseball Hall of Fame class of 2018.


January 24, 2018 - Hour 2

The Hot Stove continues on in hour two with all sorts of guests from Safeco Field. Aaron, Shannon, and Bill are joined by Mitch Haniger to begin. Mariners manager Scott Servais joins the show, and Rick Rizzs checks in from the Mariners caravan with Kyle Lewis and James Pazos. The night wraps with a tip of the cap to Edgar Martinez as he heads into his final season on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot.
