He's covered NCAA Division 1 Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer and Gymnastics, as well as both Junior College and CIF events. Ghizal is a graduate of both UC Irvine & UCLA, and was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, where he grew up listening to WFAN, and rooting for the Nets, Devils, Yankees and Jets.

Matadors' Halftime, February 18th - James Lofton

Hall of Famer James Lofton stopped by during halftime of Saturday's Big West Basketball game between CSUN & UC San Diego, at LionTree Arena, in La Jolla. Lofton is now an analyst on NFL broadcasts for CBS, and has been a San Diego resident since 2002. Over a sixteen-year NFL career, Lofton played for five NFL franchises, most prominently the Packers (1978-1986) Raiders (1987-1988) and the Buffalo Bills (1989-1992). He'd split the 1993 campaign between the Eagles and the Rams. An eight-time Pro Bowler, and four-time All-Pro, Lofton was inducted into Canton in 2003.
