Disney's World of Assistance Dogs - Some things you should know about the law.

7/2/2020
In this episode I explain about the three UK laws which Disney thinks are the most important; and what they mean in practical terms for businesses, services and Assistance Dog handlers. I'll be talking about the Equality Act 2010, Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Anti-discrimination Act 1991. (Disney tells me that this sounds like really boring stuff but it's also really important stuff. We have tried to keep it simple and practical) If you want to learn more after you have...

10 Tips and Tricks from Experienced Endurance Riders

3/23/2020
Usually my episodes are long (ish) interviews with one or two people but along the way I have also asked a few people for their best tips and tricks. Here is a collection of ten. And even though we are not able to compete right now the first five are all about training and preparation; so now is the ideal time to have a listen and put some of those into practice! Many thanks to all those who contributed to this episode by allowing me to pick their brains and point a mike at them!

Disney's World of Assistance Dogs - What I wish people knew about Assistance Dogs

1/31/2020
This episode is additional bonus content to my usual podcast. Disney wanted a chance to be the star for a change and tell people about the work she does supporting me. In this episode I talk about some of the things people often don't understand about working Assistance Dogs; and why it's important to follow some simple rules. NB. Disney is planning more episodes/topics but they will be intermittent.

Bonus Content: Assessing Lameness in Equines: EGB Welfare Conference 2019

10/29/2019
This is a recording of the talk given by Dr Sue Dyson: Head of Clinical Orthopedics at the Animal Health Trust at the Endurance GB Welfare Conference. The talk was illustrated with videos throughout - which cannot be seen on a podcast! However, most of the commentary is self explanatory and Dr Dyson gives really helpful guidance on how to spot lameness in your horse. So despite the lack of video content I decided the talk was still worth posting.

Behind the Scenes at Endurance GB

9/15/2019
It's nice to meet the face behind the name of people you usually only hear from in emails. So I was pleased to be able to interview Esther Young, the Operations Director of Endurance GB and Darren Butler who keeps things running smoothly at head office. Regular slots - Tried and Tested features the free app EquiBioSafe and, just because I love them, this month's random fact! (well several this time actually)

9/4/2019
At this interview I ask Chairperson Rebecca Kinnarney what the future holds for EGB. This interview was recorded a little while ago but I haven't had anything I could add to it to make a complete episode - its too good a clip to waste so I decided to upload it as bonus content.

The Role of Charity in Horse Welfare

6/15/2019
I was lucky enough to be asked to help out at Royal Windsor Horse Show this May. In my free time I managed to grab interviews with Roly Owers from World Horse Welfare; Karen Thompson (mum of Hovis the Destroyer); Gemma Waller of Bransby Horse Rescue and Belinda Davis of Equissage. All interviews were recorded live at a very busy event and in slightly dodgy weather, so the sound quality is unfortunately variable. And of course, as always, I finish with this month's fun fact!
