Defensive coaches speak today after practice… what are the biggest questions to be answered?

10/22/2019
More
-Do the assistants agree with Frost that it wasn't a physicality problem against Minnesota, or will they say that it was? -How does the team bounce back after a blowout loss to a division opponent, and get the season back on track against Indiana? The season could take a terrible turn the wrong direction if this isn't a win on Saturday.

-Nebrasketball Media Day was yesterday morning... did you learn anything of note? -Nebrasketball is seen as the No. 96 team by KenPom and projected to go 12-17 this year, with 5-15 in conference play.. do you see it as the same or similar? -What's Nebraska football look like without Maurice Washington going forward?

Can Nebraska generate a respectable run game with Dedrick Mills, Wyatt Mazour, and Rahmir Johnson?

10/22/2019
More
-Life after Maurice Washington hasn't been great for Nebraska's run games where he has only played part of recently- but what can things look like without having any idea whether or not he'll play, but in fact knowing he won't play at all? -For those who have been asking for Johnson to get a chance, here you go. The staff did intent to redshirt him, but with the Washington status unknown going forward, of Johnson can help you win games this year, you'd better play him. Can he be a difference...

In other non-Maurice Washington news, Nebraska will indeed wear their alternative jerseys on Saturday against Indiana.

10/22/2019
More
-Frost said that he told the team they'd better perform well in the jerseys to justify him bringing them out for this game... and that's obviously going to be necessary to even beat the Hoosiers -Also, song of the Day (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers)

More reaction from Monday’s press conference… including Scott Frost pretty much saying the offensive line is bad.

10/22/2019
More
-Maurice Washington's news was the big storyline on Monday, but Frost did mention that he was glad at times this year he wasn't the QB on the field with the protection the line was providing. Well, that's just dandy. -Can the line get things figured out to end the year, or is it pretty much just is what it is at this point?

Maurice Washington is not part of Nebraska’s depth chart for the time being, and maybe for good…. where does the offense go from here?

10/22/2019
More
- This is the news we were teasing yesterday at the end of the show, but it didn't go completely like we thought. Scott Frost said yesterday that Washington won't play this weekend and won't be apart of the team for the near future... but didn't completely say he was off the team. If you're hoping for a miracle, I guess... -It's time to see what's next for Nebraska on offense now. No Maurice Washington, and Frost wasn't exactly open on the health status of Adrian Martinez and Noah Vedral....

10/21/2019
More
-Both guys didn’t watch much of the first 2 rounds of the playoffs…but there are some interesting storylines here. Houston is going for back-to-back titles, and the Nationals are looking for their first title in franchise history…enough interest for either Jake or Sip to tune in at all?

The KenPom predictions are out for the 2019-20 basketball season, and they don’t look too hot for Nebrasketball / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe)

10/21/2019
More
-Nebraska starts at No. 96 in the nation in the rankings, which isn’t a huge surprise considering so many new faces and a new coach and new system, in a tough conference. Yet, the prediction has Nebraska at 12-17 overall and 5-15 in B1G play, including losing 16 of their final 17 games. Fun times! -What is a fair expectation?

Minnesota is now in the driver’s seat to win the Big Ten West…can they handle the pressure?

10/21/2019
More
-Wisconsin’s loss was the rest of the division’s gain, since the other competitors for the division (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska) all still face the Badgers yet this season -Minnesota has won 9 straight games now, following their 42-7 thrashing of Rutgers, and has 9 straight wins in general, and they’ll play Maryland this week before a massive home game against Penn State…can the Gophers handle the pressure? And, if Nebraska finds a way to get clicking against Indiana, is there reason to...

College Gameday is heading to Brookings, SD this weekend for North Dakota State/South Dakota State…and that is awesome

10/21/2019
More
-Gameday almost certainly would have been in Columbus for Ohio State/Wisconsin if the Badgers hadn’t lost to Illinois….but instead, the crew heads to Brookings, SD for Jackrabbits/Bison. We need more of this! -Also, SONG OF THE DAY (sponsored by Sartor Hamann Jewelers):

So…..what the heck happened to Wisconsin on Saturday?

10/21/2019
More
-An easy answer to explain the Badgers’ 24-23, last-second FG loss at Illinois, would be to say they were looking ahead to this weekend’s Ohio State game. Well, if that’s the case…that’s unfortunate for them. Because now if they somehow beat the Buckeyes, they might screw the conference over for the playoff..unless Penn State keeps rolling. But seriously…what happened to Wisconsin?

Welcome back from a needed bye week—Nebraska enters this weekend’s HOME game as 2-point UNDERDOGS to…..INDIANA!!!!!!

10/21/2019
More
-In case reality hasn’t slapped you in the face yet, maybe now it will. Many people have considered this weekend’s Indiana game as one of Nebraska’s most winnable games left of this season---a season that the goal has become simply to get bowl-eligible----yet the Hoosiers come off of a 34-28 win against Maryland that has them at 5-2 overall, and they enter Lincoln as a 2-point FAVORITES this weekend. Gulp. -QB Michael Penix, Jr. was hurt in the 2nd quarter on Saturday and replaced by former...

Is there any chance Nebraska could finish this year like Minnesota did last year?

10/18/2019
More
Minnesota was in the midst of P.J. Fleck’s 2nd season last year, and got hammered in Lincoln to fall to 3-4, and a few weeks later lost 55-31 to Illinois to fall to 4-5, before finding a way to blow out Purdue, rout Wisconsin, and then pummel Georgia Tech in the bowl game. Things started clicking at the end of the year Is that possible for Scott Frost’s team this year? A bowl game is the lowest goal going forward. It must happen. There would also be a weird conversation going about...
