Are you entering tomorrow’s game against Michigan thinking Nebraska has a chance or are you going in expecting certain defeat?

-Scott Frost said Thursday that Adrian Martinez is making the trip, but anything beyond that is unknown; we don’t know if he’s the starter at QB, although it feels like he will be -Will your thoughts on the game and the chances for Nebraska go up until the moment that Martinez is announced as starting QB or if Bunch is? Can Bunch improve enough in one week to make you believe he can win an ‘ugly’ game in Ann Arbor? -Can Nebraska even win an ‘ugly game’ against a team like Michigan? Don’t...

-The PGA Champions Tour is in Sioux Falls this weekend and Jake is a bit jealous. It’s a smaller town than Lincoln and getting a big event like that. Omaha hosted the U.S. Senior Open a few years ago with big attendance, why couldn’t we get a big tourney like that to Lincoln? -Also, SONG OF THE DAY:

Huskers schedule 12th game with Bethune-Cookman for original intended bye week (Oct. 27)—would they have aimed higher if they started out 2-0?

-Bill Moos was adamant on Thursday that Bethune-Cookman was a team that were looking at the whole time, despite knowing that there were FBS teams like East Carolina and Marshall out there that were available Oct. 27 because of canceled games due to Hurricane Florence…would they have looked harder at those teams if the season started out better? -Would you, as a fan, rather have played Akron on Dec. 1 or played an FCS team like Bethune-Cookman for Oct.27? Ryan Held says Nebraska is viewing itself as the major underdog going against Michigan, which is completely understandable; how long does it take to become a top dog, though?

9/20/2018
More
-In the Mike Riley era, Nebraska got smoked by several top-tier B1G teams, and Bo Pelini did as well. Nebraska currently rides a 6 game losing streak into Ann Arbor, and it makes sense to be a heavy underdog. But when we talk about changing culture, and we look back at this first year of Scott Frost, will Nebraska be able to think of themselves as a top dog as soon as next year? -Nebraska’s opponent, Michigan, likely thought of themselves as a top dog again the moment that Jim Harbaugh was...

Several Nebraska officials confirmed Tuesday that the Huskers are indeed trying to add an FCS opponent for Oct. 27 and that it could be done soon...is it going to be Bethune-Cookman? And how important will it be at that time to get a team you (hopefully) can beat?

How does special teams play improve while the season is going? / Shut Up Sipple

9/19/2018
More
We mentioned yesterday that bye weeks are when you get things fixed that aren't necessarily in preparation for the next game, but just things that are sloppy in games. Nebraska is likely to go the rest of the year without a bye week because of the cancelled home opener against Akron. So when will we start seeing improvement there? Is it possible?

The defense looks improved so far through 2 games, but what exactly do we know about it and how it will handle B1G play?

9/19/2018
More
You never seem to be terribly worried about the B1G offenses (outside of Ohio State), but still in past years, Nebraska's defense has been embarrassed by the 'boring, plodding offenses.' Nebraska's defense does look much improved compared to last year, but what is 'real' and what's left to be known? Is this defense capable of melting down like past defenses? There's no doubt the pass rush seems tons better; we'll see how it stacks up against the bigger o-lines in the conference. What would...

How much does your mindset change of Nebraska's chances of beating Michigan if it's Martinez instead of Bunch on Saturday? Was the offensive line's performance against Colorado better than it was against Troy simply because of the Bunch/Martinez difference at QB? What is the outlook for the rest of the season after an 0-2 start?

Scott Frost says there’s no sacrificing the now for later – apparently not a Year Zero fan and (maybe) not a fan of sitting Adrian Martinez much longer

9/19/2018
More
Frost seems to understand the situation of Nebraska being losers of 6 straight games and trying to learn how to win consistently again, so it makes sense that he wouldn't want to throw away this year just to keep Adrian Martinez for a (hopefully) big year in 2019 This also shouldn't be surprising considering Frost and his staff saw a quick rebuild at UCF and didn't call their first year a Year Zero after inheriting an 0-12 team...why would he give up on a year when inheriting a previously...

Does the current apparent mediocre state of the B1G give you more hope that Nebraska can turn this season around in conference play?

9/18/2018
More
-Yes, Nebraska is 0-2 and heads to a tough place to play at the Big House, but the rest of the schedule seems less daunting now (except for Ohio State and…..maybe….Iowa). -Northwestern is 1-2, Purdue is 0-3, and Wisconsin doesn't seem right. The conference slate is gettable for this team…the question is whether the team buy-in will come in time for the wins to pile up. Is the B1G actually just bad this year or just a rough start to the year so far?
