The Cleveland Browns made a bold move prior to the NFL Draft in trading for wide receiver Elijah Moore. Moore was unhappy with the Jets due to bad quarterback play and the fact they couldn't make Moore and Garrett Wilson work as a duo. Moore looks happy and focused thus far while the Browns are using him in every way possible, which our host feels will allow Elijah to lead the Brown sin receptions in 2023. The Offense has looked fabulous thus far in mandatory OTA's, with one writer saying Deshaun Watson had the best practice he'd ever seen. Lots of fans and media still want to speculate on the possibility of the Cleveland Browns signing DeAndre Hopkins, but there are issues to it. Hopkins set to turn 31 shortly would still command a pretty high salary. The Browns can match that but other things factor in. Hopkins would not get his usual target rate, the Browns wide receiver room is just too deep. The room is currently built for the present, and the future. Bringing in Nuk would dwarf to growth path for the future of the room. Also it would most likely cost one of the young wide outs their roster spot. The signing could work but there is a lot of variables some won't consider. The Browns released veteran offensive tackle Joe Haeg, who was injured for almost all of 2022. There are younger, cheaper players who can fill his spot. The Cleveland Browns were back outside for OTA's on Wednesday. We saw extensive work from new offensive weapons Elijah Moore and Marquise Goodwin. We think the Browns 3rd round pick Cedric Tillman, 5th round pick Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and 4th round pick Dawan Jones really helped the Browns depth. The Cleveland Browns entered the 2023 NFL Draft on April 27 with eight picks over the three-day draft, but they didn’t make their first pick until the third round Friday night, selecting Tennessee wide receiver Cedric Tillman with the No. 74 overall pick. With their second third-round pick Friday, the Browns took Baylor defensive tackle Siaki Ika at No. 98. The Browns had six picks left for Day 3 and opened Saturday by taking offensive tackle Dawand Jones out of Ohio State with the No. 111 pick. With their second fourth-round pick (No. 126), they took defensive end Isaiah McGuire out of Missouri. In the fifth round, Cleveland added UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson (No. 140) and Northwestern cornerback Cameron Mitchell (No. 142).
