The Rewindables

It's time. This week we begin our deep-dive into the kingdom of movie madness with The Rocketeer (1991). Set in 1938 Los Angeles, California, The Rocketeer tells the story of pilot Cliff Secord, who discovers a hidden rocket pack that he thereafter uses to fly without the need of an aircraft. His heroic deeds soon attract the attention of Howard Hughes and the FBI, who are hunting for the missing rocket pack, as well as the Nazi operatives that stole it from Hughes. Tonya Harding climbed the ranks in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships between 1986 and 1989, ultimately winning the 1989 Skate America competition. She became the 1991 and 1994 U.S. champion before being stripped of her 1994 title, and 1991 World silver medalist. In 1991, she became the first American woman and the second woman in history (after Midori Ito) to successfully land a triple Axel in competition. Tonya Harding climbed the ranks in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships between 1986 and 1989, ultimately winning the 1989 Skate America competition. She became the 1991 and 1994 U.S. champion before being stripped of her 1994 title, and 1991 World silver medalist. In 1991, she became the first American woman and the second woman in history (after Midori Ito) to successfully land a triple Axel in competition.
