Rivals released the updated rankings for the Class of 2026 as it heads into its senior season and the newest rankings for the upcoming class of 2027, heading into its pivotal junior seasons. We'll break down where Penn State's commits and top prospects moved this week on today's BWI Live Recruiting Show. We'll also discuss the latest news, including two new prospect offers for 2026 on the defensive line. Speaking of the D-line, stick around to the end to hear from commit Isaac Chukwurah.

We're less than two weeks away from the start of fall camp, meaning you'll soon be getting fresh highlights, press conferences, and more! Penn State offers a new wave of 2026 D-line prospects
There's no secret that Penn State missed out on its top defensive line prospects, including defenisve tackle Damari Simeon, who chose Ohio State over the Nittany Lions at the end of June. To fill that gap, defensive line coach Deion Barnes has put out a new wave of offers to 2026 defensive tackle prospects. Today, we'll tell you more about Emanuel Ruffin and Djidjou Bah.
Recruiting updates for 2026 and 2027
Next, recruiting reporter Ryan Snyder will dive into the rankings updates for 2026 and 2027. He'll discuss where the movement happened among the committed prospects this cycle and how the integration of Rivals into the On3 rankings system changed the profile of certain players in the class.
We'll also look ahead to 2027 and see where Penn State's top target and commited players landed in the update before the next cycle's junior season. Did Kemon Spell remain near the top of the recruiting rankings? We'll outline where the trio of Spell, receiver Khalil Taylor, and tackle Layton von Brandt found themselves in the updated list.
Want to discuss the Class of 2026 and 2027 with us? Join the show live on YouTube and join the chat.
Penn State DT commit joins the show
Finally, we'll sit down for a 15-minute discussion with Chukwurah to end the show. Get to know the Delaware commit from his background to his favorite pastimes and his on-field skills.

Penn State head coach James Franklin has captained one of the most consistent programs over the last decade. The team was a regular New Year's Six participant and routinely won ten games during the current stretch from 2016 to 2024. Yet Franklin's biggest critics point to his lack of production in big games and the team's lack of a title during his tenure at Penn State.
So, is Franklin a top-five coach in college football? ESPN's Bill Connelly thinks so. We'll discuss his most recent article about the top historical and active coaches in college football on today's show. We'll also continue our discussion about Penn State's open lifting session with reporter Greg Pickel, and discuss the biggest What Ifs from last year. Finally, we'll dive deep into the numbers to figure out if Penn State should play more three-receiver or two-tight-end sets this year.
Join the BWI Live Show today at 10 a.m. on YouTube! If you can't make the show live, you can always check it out 24/7 on the channel embedded in this article or on the site. Of course, the show is available on demand wherever you get your podcasts.
Penn State head coach James Franklin in elite company
ESPN's Bill Connelly put together a list of the top coaches from the last 20 years of college football. Not only is Franklin on that list for his work at Vanderbilt and Penn State, but he's high on the list. We'll discuss where Franklin ranks in the historic context that Connelly compiled using win above the historic baseline and SP+ ranking.
Connelly went a step further to find the best coaches currently active in the sport. We'll show you where Franklin ranks among the best in his profession and discuss what Connelly's data indicates.
The biggest What Ifs of the 2024 season and a preview of 2025
Penn State's season changed on several important moments that shaped the narrative of the team's postseason run. Pickel discussed the biggest turning points and narratives from last year to reimagine what could have been for the team's title run. We'll discuss those on today's show.
Finally, we'll preview the upcoming season by discussing how Penn State's offense should change this year, if at all. Offensive coordiantor Andy Kotelnicki's first year in Happy Valley was a huge success. The team was one of the most explosive offenses in college football last year, bringing a dangerous and balanced approach to the field. Still, fans will point to the team's struggles against top opponents and the inconsistencies in its passing game. How can the team tweak that this year? We examined the personnel-level information to determine where explosive plays were generated in the offense.

The Penn State Nittany Lions football team held an open lift for the media on Monday, and Blue White Illustrated was there to check it out. It's the second-to-last event before the start of fall training camp. So, today, we'll discuss what we saw and heard from the program, plus begin previewing fall training camp battles. Penn State strength coach Chuck Losey spoke to the media after the event to outline the team's progress since March. We'll preview his comments during our recurring segment "Between the Lines."
Join the BWI Live Show today at 10 a.m. on YouTube! If you can't be part of the live chat and give your thoughts about the team heading into August, you can always catch the show on Channel 24/7 or on replay here in this article. BWI Live is also available wherever you get your podcasts.
Penn State lifting session update
We'll start today's show by discussing what we observed from the players during the final phase of summer conditioning under Losey and his staff. The offensive line, defensive line and linebackers worked out in a group on Monday and we'll discuss who stood out from the group.
Next, we'll discuss what Losey and sports performance expert Andrew Nelson had to say about the team's preparations for fall camp. Losey told reporters what he's seen from transfers Trebor Pena and Amare Campbell, as well as his insights into the May freshmen. We'll cover all of that on today's show.
Fitz's Recruiting Update
The new Rivals 300 dropped for the Class of 2026 this week. Recruiting reporter Sean Fitz will discuss what he thinks of the latest updates and which Penn State players made moves on the list. We'll also discuss the newest offer for Penn State that went out this weekend.
Penn State Fall Camp Preview
Finally, we'll preview the upcoming season's camp battles to end the show. Losey discussed his goal of making the team "bulletproof" from a physical standpoint to get through the grind of fall training camp and emphasized its importance.
There are nearly a dozen important battles taking place across the Penn State roster this summer, and we'll preview four to start our three-week look at the roster's biggest positional showdowns, starting on July 30.

Penn State football's recruiting class of 2026 received another blow on Wednesday evening when three-star offensive lineman Roseby Lubintus flipped his commitment from the Nittany Lions to Syracuse. We'll discuss the situation on today's show with recruiting reporters Ryan Snyder and Sean Fitz. We'll also use today to turn the page from 2026 to 2027 and preview the important names emerging from the summer camp season for the next class.
Join today's show at 10 a.m. on YouTube! The best way to know when we go live is to subscribe to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel and enable notifications. That way, you'll be the first to know when we post content or go live! If you can't catch the show live, you can get the replay 24/7 on the channel, here on the site, or anywhere you get your podcasts.
Penn State Class of 2026 takes a hit
Penn State's June recruiting didn't go as planned, with the team losing out on all of it's top targets. Now, the team is losing recruits in July. Lubintus, a New Jersey lineman who committed to the program in the spring, flipped his commitment to Syracuse on Wednesday evening. We'll discuss what why he said he made the change and what it means for the group of offensive linemen in this cycle.
However, it's not all bad news from yesterday. Class of 2027 offensive lineman from Coatesville, Maxwell Hiller included Penn State in his top eight schools. We'll discuss which schools made the list and discuss what the team will need to do to land the next elite lineman prospect from Pennsylvania.
Introducing the Class of 2027
We've discussed the players individually, but today is the first time we’ll preview the upcoming recruiting cycle in 2027. We’ll discuss the important names to know for Penn State’s next run at a top ten class, including the players committed to program, early names interested in the program, and the team’s top regional prospects.
Snyder recently spoke with Kemon Spell and Isiaah Rogers, two of the top running back prospects for this current cycle. Spell is already a top 15 player nationally and committed to the program. Rogers is a fast-rising regional prospect, who we’ll discuss on the show.
Finally, we’ll discuss the changes to the recruiting calendar for this year. There’s a full dead period between now and the start of the 2025 football season at the end of August. Is that a detriment to Penn State’s chances of landing another recruit for 2027? The team has accomplished strong results at the end of summer in past years. Can they find a way to keep themselves ahead for the next cycle? Join the show to discuss that, plus whatever is on your mind in the live chat!

The Penn State wrestling show from Blue-White Illustrated is back following a short late June hiatus as the Nittany Lions continue to prep for the 2025-2026 college season while also having lots of success on the freestyle circuit with more International tournaments to come.
Host Thomas Frank Carr and reporter Greg Pickel kick off the show with a look at the latest headlines surrounding the program, including a report that four-time NCAA champ Aaron Brooks is facing a possible suspension after failing a drug test. His father, John, told The Herald Mall that Aaron Brooks took an over-the-counter supplement that contained a banned substance while recovering from an illness. As of the time of this article's posting and the show's recording, no decision about potential punishment from the USADA has been made.

Penn State Men's Ice Hockey made it official last night when McKenna, the number one overall prospect in the upcoming class, committed to the program. We'll also discuss how that changes the team's outlook for the upcoming season.
Next, we'll shift our attention back to Penn State football and discuss what the national media is saying about the team this July. Reporter Greg Pickel has his pulse on the consensus about the Nittany Lions and shares his perspective on where the team sits heading into August.

Matt Rhule's team will visit Happy Valley in November, but the ties to his former university have his team at the forefront of the collective consciousness of the fan base. We'll discuss the team's offense on today's show and take a deep dive into the issues the program faced last season and the solution Rhule found late last year.
Once we understand the issues with the offense, we'll discuss what Rhule and new offensive coordinator Dana Holgerson did to fix the problems via talent acquisition this offseason.

Penn State news and notes
It's not just Penn State football making moves this fall. After a successful frozen four-run, the Men's Ice Hockey team secured an offseason prize unlike any other in program history. Top recruit Gavin McKenna chose the Nittany Lions as his school of choice. We'll discuss the program's outlook and Penn State's approach to NIL in the current landscape.
It's also EA Sports College football week! The game drops on July 10th, but deluxe edition subscribers gained access to the game on Monday.
Summer conversation series: Drew Allar
Reporter Nate Bauer sat down with the important members of the 2025 Penn State football team and staff this summer, including starting quarterback Drew Allar. Bauer shares excerpts and parts of his conversation with the staff on today's show.
We'll discuss Allar's transformation this offseaons and what's behind the starting quarterback's decision to get into the best shape of his career ahead of his senior year.
Fitz's recruiting update
Football and recruiting reporter Sean Fitz joins the show to discuss the latest Penn State recruiting news. Penn State secured two more commitments over the holiday weekend, effectively wrapping up the team's recruiting for this cycle. He'll discuss what he thinks of Gonzaga defensive end Tyson Harley and DePaul Catholic offensive lineman Marlen Bright. Fitz also turned the page to 2027 this week with an early preview of the names to know at several offensive positions. Be sure to check out his article on that. We'll discuss some of the important names on the show.
Penn State season preview month continues
Today, we'll ask more questions of our staff to get their big-picture thoughts on the 2025 season. Is it a good thing that Penn State plays three easy non-conference games and then has a bye before Oregon? We'll answer that question in the BWI Mailbag to end the show. We'll also discuss the team's showdown with Ohio State in early November. Is it better to see a team with so much turnover early or later on the schedule?
We'll discuss those topics, and more! If you want to be part of the show, join us and ask your questions or give your takes in the live chat. We'll be interacting with you all show long and taking questions in the BWI Mailbag!

Penn State Football wraps up the majority of its recruiting for 2026 this weekend with the last major string of commitment announcments from top prospects. Today on the BWI Live Recruiting Show, we'll preview the biggest names that will decide their college fate during the holiday weekend, plus recap June. How badly did Penn State get beaten for its top targets compared to other years? Reporter Ryan Snyder will do his best to illustrate how much NIL has eroded the top of the Penn State recruiting pile compared to previous years.
Join BWI Live today at 10 a.m. on YouTube or catch the replay anytime on the YouTube channel, embedded in this article, or anywhere you get your podcasts. Be ready for the next round of commitments by subscribing to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel right now and enabling notifications. That way, you'll be the first to know when a commitment video drops.
The Good news: Penn State's top recruit at Rivals Five-Star Challenge
Penn State offensive lineman Kevin Brown once again shone on the recruiting stage. Last week, Brown was at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge and earned accolades for his performance. Snyder will recap Brown's accomplishments among his peers and discuss what that means for his outlook and future in Happy Valley.
We'll also recap the team's three-man recruiting weekend to end June with Jackson Ford, Jack Fuchs, and kicker Adam McCann-Gibbs on today's show. What has Snyder learned about Ford? He spoke to the defensive end's head coach to learn more about the latest Nittany Lion.
The final wave of commitments coming up this weekend
Penn State still has several top targets on the board who will make their college destinations known this weekend. This will likely be the last big recruiting weekend of the calendar now that the process has moved earlier into May and June. We'll preview the decisions coming from players like Tyson Harley, Marlen Bright, and cornerback Dorian Barney.
The Bad: Penn State June Recap stings
We've chronicled how many prospects Penn State missed on this recruiting cycle over the last two and a half weeks. From Grayson McKeogh to Luke Wafle, most of the team's top targets left after official visits went to different schools.
While it's undoubtedly a loss, how much of a loss is still a fair debate. Today, we'll try to better understand the new gap between what Penn State previously achieved before NIL and now. The team didn't routinely land elite prospects at the most valuable positions, but there's also a clear erosion of their recruiting. Snyder will attempt to pick through the results to give fans a better understanding.

The Penn State Football team begins its 2025 season in earnest this month when the team convenes at the end of July for the start of training camp. Now that it's July, we're starting our season preview on the BWI Live Show. Today, we'll discuss reporter Nate Bauer's interviews with several important figures on the Penn State staff and roster. We'll hear what they have to say about the team's goals this year and how they achieve them. We'll also preview the schedule to kick off our month of preparation for the upcoming season.
Join BWI Live at 10 a.m. on YouTube to be part of the conversation. Ask our staff any questions you have during the live chat, and we'll answer them during the show! If you can't catch us live, watch the replay on the channel embedded in this article or wherever you get your podcasts.
New new era of college football is here
Not only is July the start of training camp for many college and NFL teams, but it's also the start of a new era in college football. With the NCAA's House Settlement rules going into effect today, teams can officially start paying players directly from internal revenue.
Yet, does this day and this landmark change anything for Penn State or college football at large? We'll discuss that idea with Bauer on today's show.
We'll also preview Big Ten Media Days, which happen this month.
Penn State sits down with Blue White Illustrated
Bauer recently did one-on-one interviews with both of Penn State's coordinators - Andy Kotelnicki and Jim Knowles - plus quarterback Drew Allar. You can read Bauer's work at Blue White Illustrated, but we'll discuss those conversations on today's show. We'll be focusing on specific aspects of these conversations to discuss in detail, which will hopefully help us gain a better understanding of the team's mindset for this fall. It's the last ride for the Penn State Football Recruiting Class of 2022, which includes team stars like Drew Allar, Nick Singleton, Kaytron Allen, Dani Dennis-Sutton, and Zane Durant. What did they come back for, and what are their goals?
Of course, we'll discuss Allar and his goals for this upcoming season and how that relates to the passing game.
Season preview month begins
Finally, we'll end the show by starting our season preview of 2025. What are we most curious about learning as we begin our own preparations for the season? What's the biggest wildcard on Penn State's schedule?
We'll discuss those topics, what the toughest stretch of games looks like, and anything else that comes to mind! Didn't see a topic you want us to cover? Join the show and bring it up in the comments section!

The Penn State football recruiting department has been taking body blows for the last week. Many of the team's top targets have chosen other destinations since Grayson McKeogh kicked off the trend by committing to Notre Dame last Wednesday. Yet the team has a chance to fight back and close out the week with a series of wins with other top prospects ready to decide. We'll cover it all on today's BWI Live Recruiting Show, plus recap the final weekend of recruiting visits. Recruiting reporters Sean Fitz and Ryan Snyder sit down for an hour to discuss the team's situation heading into July.
Join the BWI Live Show today at 10 a.m. on YouTube to be part of the conversation. We'll be talking with fans in the live chat throughout the show. If you want to make sure you're the first to hear about the team's commitments when they happen, subscribe to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel and enable notifications. Penn State lands another high-potential tight end, more decisions coming
Penn State secured a recruiting victory on Wednesday afternoon when four-star tight end Pierce Petersohn committed to the program. If you want a recap of his journey to the Nittany Lions, check out our latest video. However, we'll discuss Petersohn further to start today's show.
Petersohn kicked off a string of recruiting decisions this week that will culminate in one of Penn State's top targets making his choice Friday evening. We'll recap the announced dates for the team's top targets in the coming days and weeks.
Penn State tackle situation: Want vs Need
Earlier this week, Snyder wrote about the wants and needs left in the Class of 2026. Who is essential to add, and which players are luxury additions now that the team has 21 committed players? You can check out the full articl here, but one position we've detailed for several weeks is at tackle. We'll review how Penn State has recruited that position this year and what to make of the team's prospects at the position.
White out and Lasch Bash Recap
Finally, we'll review the team's final recruiting weekend in June. Penn State hosted its Lasch Bash and White Out camp on Sunday of this past week. Who showed up and who showed out? We'll recap the prospects and commits who were in attendance and what we learned about them.

Penn State decision days
Minnesota native and Penn State tight end target Pierce Petersohn announced last night that he'll be revealing his decision for a college destination today. He kicks off the next round of important decisions from the team's top remaining targets, which include Jackson Ford and Damari Simeon this week. We'll run down the names and times that have announced their decision dates so far.
If you haven't yet, subscribe to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel and enable notifications so that when the commitments break, you'll be the first to hear if Penn State has landed another prospect.
From there, we'll pivot to discussing the team's current commits. Four-star tackle Kevin Brown was at the Rivals Five Star Challenge this week and did very well. We'll discuss his work this week. Brown is the team's highest-ranked player in the Class of 2026, but he's not the only good football player. After a week of missing on high-rated prospects, we'll try to give Penn State fans a bit of hope. We're listing the most underrated prospects in the class, and where we think they could end up by the time, all is said and done.
Finally, reporter Greg Pickel will discuss the latest with Penn State wrestling prospect Bo Bassett, who made news by decommitting from Iowa last week.
Buy or Sell
Finally, we'll round out June with another edition of Buy or Sell. We'll present a statement about the Penn State football team and either Buy or Sell that statement as fact. This week, we're discussing the team's chances of having a surprise starter and the team's long-term outlook on offense.

Normally, Tuesdays on the BWI Live show are reserved primarily for discussions about the current Penn State football team, while the Thursday show focuses on recruiting. However, the Nittany Lions lost four top recruiting targets between Wednesday and Friday of last week. This recruiting news sparked a frenzy of panic among Penn State fans to the point that even reporter Nate Bauer wrote about it on Friday.
So, today, we'll discuss the bigger implications of Penn State's loss of Khary Adams, Joey O'Brien, Greyson McKeogh, and Luke Wafle to its top rivals. We'll discuss the emotional impact, the logical next steps, and what the big picture means for the team's ability to compete at the highest levels of the sport, given the influence of NIL on recruiting.
Join the show today at 10 a.m. on YouTube to discuss this, plus the latest roster update from the team and your questions! We'll be opening the live chat for discussion from fans throughout the show.
Gang Green sets in for Penn State recruiting
Three of the four players mentioned earlier all chose Notre Dame over Penn State. Meanwhile, Wafle chose USC over Ohio State in a bidding war that reportedly eclipsed 2 million dollars in NIL money. We'll address each individual recruiting situation and then consider them as part of a larger picture. Can Penn State's current model of retention withstand the new economy of recruiting? Will the program be cut off from top talent each cycle? Bauer and recruiting reporter Sean Fitz will dive deep into the topic to give Penn State fans a much-needed perspective on the topic.
Penn State roster update and long-term weight changes
In team-specific news, Penn State released its latest roster update, with Jabree Coleman joining the program this week. With it came updated weights for the program's athletes. We've tracked the progress of each player since January, and today, we'll reveal the biggest weight gainers and losers this offseason.
What context should fans take from this? We'll discuss players who are transforming their bodies and which players may be falling behind for one reason or another.
Nickel corner battle hinges on fall camp
We also talked to Penn State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles this month. What did he say about his defense, and what he expects from the team this year? Bauer spoke to Knowles in an exclusive one-on-one interview recently, and he'll preview that conversation on today's show.
In a separate conversation, Knowles discussed his nickel position in depth with BWI. We'll discuss the big takeaways from that conversation and what they mean for the team's defense this fall.
Finally, despite the earlier recruiting focus on the show, there's more recruiting news to discuss this week. We'll wrap up the show with Fitz's recruiting update, discussing the news from this past weekend and the decisions looming on the horizon for the Penn State Class of 2026.

Penn State suffers a recruiting loss this week. More to come?
The bad news for the top of Penn State's 2026 prospects started Wednesday when four-star tackle Greyson McKeogh chose Notre Dame over Penn State and Texas. Shortly after, industry experts put in picks for top defensive back targets Khary Adams and Joey O'Brien to join him in South Bend. After that, reports from On3 surfaced that USC and Ohio State were in a bidding war for top defensive end Luke Wafle, who was about to command a seven-figure NIL package.
Where does that leave Penn State? Snyder will do his best to give fans the intel on why things are trending away from the Nittany Lions with in-state and regional targets. We'll also discuss who is left on the board and what the program can do to make up ground.
Penn State finishing June with three camps in five days
Penn State hosted a smaller mid-week camp on Wednesday that BWI attended. Several top commits and prospects were also in attendance. We'll discuss what we saw from defensive line commit Isaac Chukwurah, and 2027 target Abraham Sessay. Defensive back commits Julian Peterson and Matt Sieg also attended camp, which was our first time to see them work up close. We'll discuss how they performed.
Previewing Visits and Camps to close June
Finally, we'll preview the end of the 2025 June calendar. A recruiting dead period starts next week, lasting until the start of the 2025 season. It's the final chance to get prospects on campus for official visits and to have top targets visit the program. We'll discuss the upcoming players making their way to campus for a final round of official visits, and then those players will be invited to the Lasch Bash and White Out Camp on Sunday.

The Penn State wrestling show from Blue-White Illustrated is back with a recap of Final X plus the latest on the Nittany Lions' 2025-2026 schedule.
Host Thomas Frank Carr and reporter Greg Pickel start this week's show with a look at how past, present, and future members of head coach Cael Sanderson's program, plus Nittany Lion Wrestling Club members, performed at the event that sets the U.S. National team. Incoming freshman PJ Duke stole the show in Newark and thus dominates the conversation on this episode. Despite not yet receiving his high school diploma, the New York native is going to World's as his country's representative at 70 kilograms after stunning Cornell great Yianni Diakomihalis with a pin to win their best-of-three series 2-1. Duke, who is a four-time state champ, capped it off with a back flip seconds after the referee slapped the mat to end the match.

Penn State at the Elite 11
It's been six out of seven years that Penn State has had a quarterback commit at the Elite 11 finals in Los Angeles. We'll discuss the importance of having a player at the event and what it means for Huhn, who is Penn State's representative this year in a two QB class.
Does Huhn need to win the event for it to be a successful year for Penn State? We'll discuss the event's history and how it found quarterback talent through the years.
Next, we'll discuss what Penn State linebackers coach Dan Connor said about recent transfer Amare Campbell. Pickel wrote about the team's acquisition in the transfer portal and what drew Connor to him out of North Carolina. We'll discuss how he fits with the program and what Connor had to say about the room.

This time of year is all about the official visits in Penn State football recruiting. The team hosted elite players last weekend at critical positions like defensive end, defensive tackle and offensive tackle. This week, they'll bring in a five-star player, top targets at tight end, and several sleeper targets to round out the group. Join the BWI Live Recruiting show as reporter Ryan Snyder discusses those topics, plus he takes your questions on the show!
We're live at 10 a.m. on YouTube. If you can't catch the show live and be part of the chat, check us out on replay either on the channel, here in this article, or anywhere you get your podcasts.
Penn State recruiting news and previews
Of course, it's not all about official visits. Penn State will continue its search for the next wave of prospects on Friday with a team camp, hosting seven-on-seven teams from across the region. Snyder will give you a quick preview of what to expect.
Next, we'll return to cornerback Amauri Polydor's commitment to the Penn State last weekend. Snyder spoke with On3 National recruiting director Charles Power about the three-star cornerback. He'll relate what Power had to say about Polydor's film and what he expects from the St. Frances cornerback this coming season.
Finally, Snyder will recap the conversations he had with Penn State's elite targets from last weekend. What did Grayson Mckeogh have to say about his time with the Nittany Lions? Snyder spoke with the LaSalle offensive tackle. He also spoke with potential five-star defensive Luke Wafle's father about the visit his son took last weekend. We'll review the highlights of those conversations.
Official visit preview
Finally, we'll spend the second half of the show discussing the players visiting campus this weekend. From five-star offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho to commits Ben Eziuka and Terry Wiggins, Snyder will discuss the stories and importance of the players visiting this weekend. Can Penn State swing for the fences with the elite lineman visiting, such as Texas native Drew Evers?
We'll also track the story of fast-rising offensive tackle Charlie Thom. The Avon Old Farms prospect received an offer less than a week ago and has quickly scheduled an official visit to Penn State for this weekend. We'll discuss the tackle situation with Snyder to understand how Thom fits into the picture with so many elite prospects considering joining position coach Phil Trautwein's room.

Penn State Wrestling Show: Final X Preview
6/11/2025
The Team USA roster for the Senior World Wrestling Championships will be announced this weekend in Newark, N.J. Penn State standouts and Nittany Lion Wrestling Club members are competing at Final X. Some are vying for a backup spot on the early portion of the day-long card. Others are seeking a starting spot on the national team for this year's championships, which are set for September in Croatia.
We preview Saturday's action on a fresh episode of the Blue-White Illustrated Penn State wrestling show.
Host Thomas Frank Carr and reporter Greg Pickel start by taking a look at the true third place matches. Those start at 12:30 p.m. ET. Multiple wrestlers, including incoming freshman Marcus Blaze and five-time NCAA champ Carter Starocci, are competing for a backup spot on Team USA. Blaze is in the 65 kilogram (143.3 pounds) true third place match opposite Nebraska's Brock Hardy. Starocci, then, has a familiar foe in Parker Keckeisen of Northern Iowa in the 86-kilogram (189.5 pounds) true third place match. A win would mean Blaze and Starocci have national team resources for the next year. And, for Blaze in particular, it would mean the U23 Team USA spot at 65 kilograms is his to turn down.

Penn State gets even more preseason accolades
There's no secret at this point that the Penn State football team is the national media darling of the 2025 offseason. Phil Steele published his top 40 teams for the upcoming season, and Steele was very high on the Nittany Lions. Find out where he ranks the program and how many All-Americans he expects the team to produce this fall.
To do that, the team will need to be elite on both sides of the football. We'll put those ideas to the test in our latest edition of Buy or Sell. Today, we'll focus primarily on the defensive side of the ball. Can Penn State allow fewer rushing yards than it did last season? Will they produce more takeaways? We'll debate those ideas on today's show. Reporter Greg Pickel will give his thoughts on Steele's analysis and then give you his thoughts on those ideas.
You can play along in the chat by playing Buy or Sell with us! We'll read the best answers live on air.
Between the Lines
It's now a summertime tradition for the Penn State coaching staff to sit down with the media at the start of June to discuss the offseason topics on the minds of fans and the media. Today, we'll dive deeper into those conversations in Between the Lines. We'll review Penn State head coach James Franklin's comments on why Ta'Mere Robinson left the program. You'll also hear what differences the linebacker room faces, according to Jim Knowles. Finally, Andy Kotelnicki will give his scouting report on Trebor Pena and what he thinks the differences will be in his offense now that the team is in its second year under his direction.
