Masters SATURDAY - All To Play For.
4/11/2026
As we (ok, some of us) predicted, it was never going to be a runaway win for Rory McIlroy at this year's Masters and heading into the final round several of the game's biggest names now have a chance to put on the jacket. Andrew and Iain join up at the end of round three to discuss Rory's struggles, the rise of Cam Young, the return of Scottie Scheffler and the dream that will not die for Justin Rose. We hear from McIlroy, Rose and Shane Lowry after his hole-in-one and look forward to what might be one of the greatest ever final rounds at Augusta.

Masters FRIDAY - Rory Romping
4/10/2026
What a story developing at The Masters as Rory McIlroy opens the widest ever lead after 36 holes. So exciting is it, that Eddie decides to fight off the warm, welcoming arms of Morpheus to join Andrew and discuss matters, with Iain joining after his commentary duties. That will do for a description. It's all in the pod...

Masters THURSDAY - D-Fence
4/9/2026
The Masters is underway and we're now wondering if Rory follow Jack, Nick and Tiger in keeping hold of the Green Jacket. Andrew and Iain come together with a short recap of the first round where not only did Rory impress, but so many big names are off to good starts, including World Number One Scottie Scheffler. Meanwhile as promised by both Andrew and Iain, Jose-Maria Olazabal took Aldrich Potgeiter to short-game school. And then beat him up in the playground and stole his lunch.

They discuss the form of the main contenders as well as some other names to look out for. Faldo's Free Hat.
4/6/2026
Masters week is here and Andrew and Iain are there. Eddie's not in Augusta, but he joins from Pepperell Towers to look ahead to what is always one of the greatest weeks in golf. The three of them cast their keen eyes over the main contenders, while also looking back at events of the weekend, as JJ Spaun once more denied Bob McIntyre, while Matt Wallace went close. Iain also tells us how a multiple major champion ruined his Chinese takeaway, Andrew recounts a day of pointless flights and Eddie announces that he is going to try practising at golf.

History Repeating
3/30/2026
This week our three-ball get together and chat about a significant win on the DP World Tour where Alex Fitzpatrick survived the madness of DLF to complete a Fitz family double, while Gary Woodland was an emotional winner on the PGA Tour.
There is also plenty of discussion of another troubling incident for Tiger Woods, Iain talks about his tumbling handicap, Eddie takes a trip around a storm-lashed East Lothian and Andrew quotes Hull's most famous librarian.

Not Tsen Percent
3/23/2026
An episode which is frankly too long, but you are of course free to split it in two, or stop listening whenever you have had enough. BUT, stick around if you want a slightly drunk Eddie after one glass of champagne to mark another top-ten finish, in Hainan, where he was steered around by an ever-smiling man called Tsen. That's as much as we know, really. Eddie gives the inside track on equipment changes and another impressive performance to take him into an enforced break as well as an enforced holiday until he can find a reasonable flight home. Or until he can get his bank card to work.
Once Eddie has left / fallen asleep, Iain joins to chat about all the other golf taking place recently - Matt Fitzpatrick bouncing back to win on the PGA Tour, Bryson Dechambeau going head to head with Jon Rahm in a raucous LIV South Africa and Iain himself playing some mixed foursomes. There is also discussion of the DP World Tour brain drain and the possibility of a Ryder Cup without Rahm. Tsen-sational.

Half a World Away
3/16/2026
In this episode we find our intrepid trio separated by 9000 miles and twelve hours of time-zones with Iain in Florida, Andrew in the UK and Eddie in Hainan, having earned a late place in next week's tour event. By the wonders of technology they are all able to discuss a dramatic finish at The Players Championship where Cameron Young took the title and Matt Fitzpatrick came up just short. The three talk about the unconventional rise of Sudarshan Yellamaraju, wonder if they should be concerned about Scottie Scheffler and ask the crucial question 'Will Eddie say a word to his caddy this week?' There's also a new golfing goal for Iain and a history lesson on a 19th century Republican Senator, whether you want it or not.

BONUS - The Players and the Foursomes
3/11/2026
A bonus episode to bring news ahead of The Players Championship and at the end (for Eddie and Andy Murray at least) of the Sunningdale Foursomes.
Eddie, Andrew and Iain discuss Brian Rolapp's ideas for the PGA Tour and Rory's back injury as well as Eddie's chances of a trip to China and a very honest interview from Gary Woodland on his psychological struggles.

Ramble, Big Man, Ramble.
3/9/2026
With Iain somewhere en route to the Players Championship, it's up to Andrew and Eddie to hold the fort this week, which they don't technically manage to do as Andy Murray scales the walls to join in and look ahead to the Sunningdale Foursomes. There is also conversation about Eddie's performance in Johannesburg and how he can carry the solid form of his South African trip forward when he has little competitive golf coming up, except to partner with a former tennis player against the man who was once the best youth golfer in Europe. The wins for Dan Bradbury, Akshay Bhatia and Jon Rahm are also discussed, while they wonder if there should be concern about the form of Scottie Scheffler or the injury to Rory McIlroy. The answer is probably no, but serious worries remain about the number of dogs heading for Sunningdale.

3/2/2026
HAIL THE CONQUERING HERO... except for the four players ahead of him whom he didn't quite conquer. It was a great weekend for Eddie though as he finished 5th in the South African Open and is still in Stellenbosch to give us all of the details, including a hot putter, an unplanned equipment change and a caddie who simply enjoys it all too much. There is also discussion of Shane Lowry's meltdown at the end of Cognizant Classic in Florida and his admirable post-round chat with the media. The three then talk about the layers which are now clearly forming in the professional game and find time to praise the talent in British Women's golf as well as Chris Wood on the MENA Tour. They then wonder if Andy Murray will lay on a private jet to get Eddie back in time for a practice round ahead of the Sunningdale Foursomes. If he doesn't, he's just not taking it seriously.

Life Choices, LIV Choices.
2/23/2026
This week two become three again as Iain returns from his travels to tell us that he's going travelling again, but also to join Andrew in asking Eddie if he thought he should have made more of an effort in getting to Kenya. There then follows a series of reflections on what Eddie - and indeed all humans - want from life.
In golfing terms they discuss Jon Rahm's refusal to pay his fines and whether it leaves him out in the Ryder Cup cold, Jacob Bridgeman's win at Riviera, Nelly Korda's stay-at-home attitude and Eddie's preparations for the SA Open at Stellenbosch.

Kim, Collin and Karen
2/16/2026
Reasons to be cheerful this week. Not - you will be unsurprised to hear - from Andrew, but from Eddie who, despite a tough final round on the greens of Fancourt is bullish about his form. The two of them discuss that, as well as an incredible performance from Anthony Kim providing LIV, for all their millions spent, with their greatest story.
There is also mention of Collin Morikawa getting back to winning ways at Pebble Beach and Charley Hull making house alterations after her triumph in Saudi Arabia. Then Andrew takes a lemsip-inspired deep dive into the the rich history of Karen Country Club, where Eddie is among those playing in this week's Magical Kenya Open.

Reed it and Weep.
2/9/2026
Still just a two-ball this week where Eddie reflects - in a surprisingly positive way - about his MC in the Qatar Masters and he and Andrew both wax lyrical about the golfing talents of Patrick Reed who, having defected from the Saudi Arabian collective, simply romps around the rest of the Middle-East.
With Eddie travelling all day on Monday it was a Sunday recording of the pod, so it's left to Andrew and Mabel (sorry Richard) to chat about Chris Gøtterup's latest win, in Phoenix.
There is also mention for the biggest prize of the week going to one of the youngest players - Elvis Smylie won the LIV opener in Riyadh in front of a crowd approximately the same size as the audience annoying Eddie in a Doha cinema.

Frazzled, Fried and a Bit Lost
2/2/2026
This week Eddie has arrived in Qatar ahead of his return to the tour and Andrew has arrived in some sort of work purgatory. However, both still find the time, if not the energy, for a paean of praise to Justin Rose following his dominant win at Torrey Pines. They also wonder if Patrick Reed might win another major after his departure from LIV and question the decision to curtail a tournament on the LPGA Tour.

Not Yet Better Than Sergio.
1/26/2026
Fresh from a top 5.....0 place in Dubai, Eddie has to first of all explain his broken wedge and grazed knuckles, but then he and Andrew pick over a result that still shows plenty of encouragement for the year ahead. Meanwhile they run out of things to say in admiration for Scottie Scheffler after he returns to golf and gets straight back to winning ways. They run out of things to say in general if we're honest, but there is consideration for Eddie starting a TGL golf team and an acknowledgement that Laurie Canter will not be signed up by a Saudi Arabian darts league.

Eddie Steady Go
1/19/2026
And thus, the Carter-less weeks begin. With Iain on his travels, Andrew and Eddie are left to stumble forward like Bill Oddie and Tim Brooke-Taylor without Graeme Garden, but fortunately there is plenty to talk about - Eddie is now preparing to start his 2026 golfing year at the Dubai Desert Classic and has a new caddie into the bargain. There are changes on LIV with exciting new names and players, Marco Penge has new clubs, Scottie Scheffler is coming out of hibernation and Andrew has misplaced a Wellington.

Babbling and Brooks
1/12/2026
A bit of a mess of an episode, due to the late news that Brooks Koepka is back on the PGA Tour with a new pathway which would allow other big names to follow.
After that it's business as usual, which means that Andrew, Eddie and Iain cover any number of topics related to golf. And others which are not.
Koepka chat up until 16 mins 15.

1/5/2026
Difficult scoring conditions for the pod this week with next to zero golf actually happening. Yet Andrew, Eddie and Iain still manage to find over an hour of chat by discussing coloured golf balls, darts, TGL, the naming of South American countries and Al Besselink.
What's more, we find out which major championship Eddie decided not to play in...
